"Has Laurie told you?" Clara asked Jo her heart racing, she prayed that Jo wasn't mad, she didn't want to loose another sister in the span of two days.

"Yes, yes." Jo smiled running her fingers through Clara's hair. "Clara i'm so happy for you."

Laurie had proposed to Clara in the carriage on the way there, and then insisted just moments later that they get married, he even suggested the carriage man could elope them. But Clara refused to marry him right away, she wanted her family to be there, and to have more grander scenery then the spot they where in.

Clara let out a big breath of air she didn't know she was holding  "Oh i'm so relieved thank you." Clara sighed tears in her eyes. "I really miss her." she gave Jo a small smile before she began crying again.

"I know." Jo softly whispered pulling Clara into a hug. "We all do." She began running her fingers through her little sisters hair, shushing her as she sobbed into her shoulder.

"Thank you for everything." Clara whispered squeezing her sister tighter.

_____________

Aunt March had passed away the following week of Clara's return home. Aunt March had died of a heart attack and Clara believed it was because Clara wouldn't marry George but instead got engaged to Laurie.

"I thought she hated me." Jo stated as her, Meg, Clara, and Amy walked through Aunt Marches home that she to everyone's surprise, had left for Jo. The house felt empty, emptier then before, and somehow more lonely. Clara carefully walked through the home still feeling the presence of Aunt March lingering through the air.

"She could still hate you and leave you the house." Amy acknowledged admiring the flower wall paper on Aunt March's walls.

"Of all the people I thought this house was yours Claras." Jo stated nodding her head at Clara.

"Five years in Europe together could make her change her mind about me." Clara stated as she brushed her fingers against a painting that lay on the wall.  "I think she cut me out of the will the second I told her I denied George's proposal."

"What about you and John?" Jo asked Meg in hopes she'd take the house.

"We can't manage a grand house like this it's to big." Meg stated with a scoff as they all walked into the living room.

"I should sell it but i'd love to do something to it that would really make Aunt March turn in her grave." Jo said resting her hands on her hips a habit she never grew out of.

"I wouldn't mind that." Meg said resting her back on the wall.

"A nice turning. Just a rotation nothing terrible." Jo stated looking around the living room in hopes any ideas flowed into her head.

"What will you do?" Clara asked resting her head on Megs shoulder. "Me and Laurie can always take the house if you wish." she innocently smiled at Jo watch as she shook her head.

Jo then stopped for a moment looking around the house taking in everything it had to offer, before making up her decision "i'd like to open a school." Jo said looking to her sisters "We never had a proper school and now there are women colleges opening so there should be a school for Daisy."

"And what will Demi do?" Amy asked referring to Megs little boy.

"I'll open a school for boys and girls both." Jo nodded.

"What about writing?"

"What about it?" Jo asked.

"What are you working on?" Clara questioned "You're always conjuring up stories." she lightly smiled as meg began to run her fingers through Clara's hair.

"I started something but I don't think it's very good." Jo admitted as the sisters walked out of the house.

"Your writing is always good." Clara insisted memories flooding back of Jos endless amount of bed time tales she would tell her.

"Yeah everyone likes what you write." Amy added linking arms with Clara as they walked.

"No they don't." Jo argued with a scoff.

"I do." Meg said smiling at her younger sisters.

"Well it's just about our little life." Jo said looking towards the grass beneath her and smiling.

"So?" Amy questioned not seeing why Jo should be so hard on herself.

"Well who will be interested in a story of domestic struggles and joy." Jo stated crossing her arms. "It doesn't have any real importance."

"Maybe it doesn't seem important because people don't write about them." Amy said.

"No writing doesn't confer importance it reflects it."

"I don't think so." Amy said shaking her head. "Writing them will make them more important."

"When did you become so wise?" Jo asked playfully hitting Amy's arm.

"I've always been you were just to busy noticing my faults." Amy argued rubbing her arm where Jo had hit.

Clara couldn't help but smile. She missed being with her sisters. She missed Amy and Jo's constant bickering. She missed Megs sweet caring soul. She missed Beth. She didn't realize how much she missed everything.
