"Why didn't you tell us that you were doing this?" Yuri demands, "Do you know how dangerous that was!? She hasn't been here half the amount of time Otonashi was!"
"It was kind of a last minute decision." Noda defends, quickly being backed into submission.
"I expected more from you." Is all she could say, calming down a bit. She takes a deep breath.
"Well," she asks turning to me, along with everyone else in the room, "do you remember anything?"
I look at Kageyama for a moment, and then back to the leader. "A little. But nothing that connects me to how I died."
She sighs, "That's probably for the best. Everyone, theres a meeting in 2 hours about our next mission. Don't be late."
With that, Yuri and the rest walk out, leaving the original 5 of us in silence. Ayato walks out a couple seconds later, claiming he has some school president thing to do.
"So... what do you remember?" Noda asks.
I look towards Kageyama and smile, "Just some of my school life."
He stares at me for a moment, his eyes full with pure hope. Silently, he points to himself, clearly suggesting if I remember him.
Still smiling, I nod.
"You remember me?" He asks, just to be sure.
I stand up and open my arms to indicate that I want a hug. "Yeah, I remember!"
The corners of his smile now reach his glistening eyes, and he hugs me so tightly that my feet lift off the ground. I hug him back of course, as tight as I can, but not half as tight as he manages to squeeze me.
"Who else do you remember?" He asks, just as excited.
"I remember Ed, and Miwa, and, and Yachi, and Tsukki, and Hinata, everyone! I remember up until," I pause for a moment, my mood dimming a bit, "up until the day my brother came to your house, and the police showed up."
He looks behind me for a moment and shakes his head. Everyone else who was in the room with us leave. "Don't worry about that. It obviously still hurts, but the reason I'm here right now is for you. There's so much I still want to do with you, so much I want to say to you. Y/n, I lo-"
I quickly kiss him mid-sentence to cut him off. "Don't say it yet," I tell him, "I want to spend more time with you."
"I never had enough time to tell you," he replied, "we never had enough time together."
I stare at him for a moment, completely still. I'm at a loss for words. I can't believe I could forget him. He was so important to me. He IS important to me. I look at him for a while longer before being able to mutter out some words, "Now we have all the time in the world."
~
"Although Ed always said how he hated you, it was so clear it was an act. I could tell that he really liked you deep down." I say to him after I process everything.
"Oh, I highly doubt that." He chuckles nervously, "when you first got here, you said the first thing that came to your head as to why you might be here. Do you... do you think that actually might be a reason?"
We talk and... talk... for for the rest of the time we had until we realise that the mission brief is about so start, and that we should head to the Principals office to see Yuripee and the others.
