Fake Protagonist // Hwang Hyunjin

Chapter One

I knock on the door nervously before entering the meeting room. It is full of familiar and unrecognisable faces. Once they saw me enter the room, they got up from their seats with a big smile as a way of greeting me.

I bowed to all of them politely as they did the same.

"Y/N, welcome. Please take a seat" the director, who is also the CEO of my agency, Mr. Kim, smiled widely as he told me to take a seat that was labelled as Supporting Role.

"Yes, thank you" I smiled, walking towards my seat. My eyes immediately went to the person beside me. His seat is also labelled as Supporting Role.

"Y/N, right? I'm Felix" he smiled, reaching out his hand to shake mine.

"Nice to meet you, Felix" I smiled, shaking my hands with his. He smiled, nodding his head with a bright smile.

He seems happy to be in this drama.

Soon enough, the door opens wide as a tall, black haired man walks in the room. Just like before, everyone got up from their seats to greet him.

I stand up from my chair as I stare at him in awe. It would be a lie if no one knows him. He is the most famous actor in this country. All drama series he portrayed in have the biggest hits.

Hwang Hyunjin.

Every step he took made him look powerful as all eyes were glued on him. The way his long mullet hair flows flawlessly with a genuine smile plastered on his moist lips has weakened my legs.

"Mr. Hwang, please take a seat" Mr. Kim pointed at Hyunjin's seat which was obviously labelled as the Main Role.

I couldn't help but to stare at him. If you didn't notice by now, he is my crush of two years.

I have been in love with him ever since I joined the filming agency. As I thought the first day was too hard for me, he came and made it better. He treated me kindly as a senior in the same field.

But then, he is too kind, which made me fall harder for him.

I slowly look away from him, looking down at my feet. I am no one compared to him.

Suddenly, the doors were wide opened once again by another powerful and tantalizing actress, Kim Hyera.

She is known for her amazing acting talents that would make the viewers feel all the emotions she poured into the drama. Other than that, her beautiful figure is also one of the reasons why people would fall for her.

"Miss Kim, have a seat" Mr. Kim politely led her to her own seat which was beside Hyunjin. You guessed it, she's the protagonist.

I watch how Hyunjin looks at her dearly. He smiled at her before ruffling her hair softly. She whined, slapping his hand away.

My heart dropped at the painful scene. I quickly avert my gaze away. This is not the first time, nor the second. They do this all the time.

Why? Because they are in love. Since both of them are famous actor and actress, they found similarities in their life and soon decided to be each other's half. A lot of fans support them, of course. People call them the couple of the year.

"Okay, since everyone is here. Let's start with the script reading, shall we?" Mr. Kim butt in respectfully as he got up from his seat. We all nod in sync, agreeing to him.

"As you all know, I am Kim Johan, the director of this drama called Special Second Love" he introduced himself. Everyone claps their hands as a sign of welcoming him.

"Our script writer, Yoon Hyesook" Mr Kim introduced Mr. Yoon who slowly raised from his seat and bowed slightly. Once again, we all clapped as a sign of welcoming and respecting him.

As time passed, the script reading of the first 4 episodes was finished. We all part ways, bidding our goodbyes.

My heart flutters at the plot of the drama. I get to be Hyunjin's girlfriend in the first few episodes.

"Y/N!" a voice called as I turned around swiftly. Felix is running after me. I look at him in confusion.

"You left your script" he said before handing the file to me. My eyes widen as I quickly thank him.

"Thank you, I thought I had already placed them in my bag" I chuckled shortly. He smiled warmly.

"Are you going home now?" he asked as we both walked towards the exit of the company. I hummed.

"Cool, I'll accompany you on the way towards your car then" he smiled happily. I nod, returning his smile.

"I'm so excited for this drama. I've watched your other dramas before, you're amazing" he unnecessarily complimented me.

"No, please. You're too kind. I do watch some of your drama as well and you're not bad yourself" I smiled sincerely.

"Looks like we're acting in the same drama now" he chuckled lightly. I hummed as we both walked in silence.

"I hope we can be fond of each other. I'm looking out to work with you, Y/N" Felix said as soon as we both arrived at my car.

"Me too, I'm looking forward to see the famous sunshine at work" I teased, letting out a small chuckle. He smiled.

"See you, then" he waved before walking away.

Well, that was nice.

As I was about to enter my car, my eyes caught figures a few metres away from me. It is Hyunjin and Hyera.

Both of them has bright smiles on their faces, messing around. I watched them quietly despite of my wrenching heart that screamed at me to look away.

"Guess I need to witness their love more often now" I sighed before quietly climb inside my car and drove away.
