"Meet me at your favourite cafe at 6pm" I read out the text before looking at the cafe mentioned right in front of me.
The glass windows were fully covered with dark curtains. I frowned.
"Is it closed?" I wondered to myself as I took a step forward to enter the cafe.
I turn the doorknob slowly, glad that it's not locked. I push aside the curtain that is blocking the entrance, surprising myself as I see beautiful decorations all over the tiny cafe.
There are dim lights with pictures hanging from the ceiling and a medium sized table in the middle of the cafe, full of delicious foods.
I approached the pictures that were hanging on the ceiling to examine it since I could be disturbing someone's event.
Once again, I was shocked to see my own picture.. with Hyunjin.
I went to other pictures and just like before, it's pictures of me with Hyunjin from different occasions. I look at them in awe, finally realising that Hyunjin prepared all of the decorations for me.
But why?
I take in the full view once again, trying to figure out a special celebration for him to do all of this for me, but I was suddenly greeted by a bright smile of his.
"Jaehwa" I look at him in surprise.
"Happy anniversary, Haneul" he smiled as he handed over a bouquet of flowers that he hid behind his back.
I look at him in shock. Realisation rushed to me as I immediately looked at him in fear. The flowers in his hand were lowered down slowly.
"You forgot?" his voice was low as he looked at me with a hint of sadness. I looked at him, warned.
"I'm so sorry. I've been loaded with work lately and I was so busy that I—" I said quickly before he stopped me with a small smile, placing the flowers in my hand.
"No no, it's fine. I understand" he smiled but it didn't seem genuine like always.
"Come on, let's eat" he pulled the chair on the right side, telling me to sit, before walking back to his own chair.
"You bought quite a lot of food" I chuckled lightly, examining the foods.
"Actually, I made them" he told me shyly as he rubbed the nape of his neck. I look at him in shock.
"Really? It must taste good, then" I hyped him up. He smiled.
"Dig in, I want to see your reaction" he stated with an excited smile. I nod, taking the spoon and fork in my hand when I suddenly receive a call.
I look at him apologetically before answering the call.
"Where are you?" Felix's voice asked.
"Why are you calling me?" I asked him instead, nervously looking at Hyunjin who is looking at me curiously.
