The full moon always made its appearance in the most inconvenient of times

The full moon always made its appearance in the most inconvenient of times. It had been a particularly more difficult time for Remus. His transformations had gotten better ever since he had the boys down with him, but this one was the worst any of them had seen. Currently, Remus laid in a bed in the Hospital Wing. His arms and chest were lined with fresh scars he'd given himself the night prior, and his face was stained purple and yellow as new bruises formed.

James, Sirius, and Peter all sat on the surrounding beds, heads in their hands as they waited for their friend to wake up. They had grown increasingly worried as the night went on. The wolf refused to calm down and managed to throw Padfoot and Prongs across the room a multitude of times. Sirius winced as he shifted in his seat, trying to get comfortable, but the pain in his ribs failed to let him do so.

The four marauders had skipped the days' lessons, instead opting to stay with Remus in case he woke up. Madame Pomfrey wandered into the curtained room making the boys turn to her.

"You have a visitor," She smiled.

The three shared a look before James spoke. "I'll be right out, thank you."

Pomfrey nodded and closed the curtain behind her. James winced as he stood up, limping all the way to the Hospital Wing's doors where he found a pacing Thea. The girl halted her steps as she saw the state that the marauder was in.

"You look like shit," She blurted, regretting the words the moment they were out.

"Thank you, Thea," James deadpanned. "That's just what I needed to hear."

"Sorry," She grimaced. "Anyway, I'm not here to insult you. Here," She said and extended some loose pieces of parchment.

"What's this?" James grabbed them and stifled a wince.

"Notes for today's lessons," Thea answered. "None of you were in class today so I took the liberty of taking notes for you. All of you."

James was stunned but shook his head as he realized he hadn't said anything. "Thank you. This- Thank you."

"Don't mention it," She waved it off. Thea stared at him, she was sure he had a broken nose. "I'm sorry, but are you okay? You look seriously hurt."

"Nothing I won't get over with," He sighed.

"Your nose looks broken," She said as she stood on her tippy toes to examine him. "May I?"

James looked perplexed. "Do you know what you're doing?"

Thea shrugged. "I've dealt with worse." James nodded reluctantly. The girl pulled out her wand and pointed it at his nose. "Episkey." He hissed as the bone snapped back into place, the relief settling immediately after. Thea pulled out a handkerchief from her bag and extended it toward him. "Your nose is going to bleed for a bit, but you'll be fine. The bruise should leave in a few minutes."
