Veronica.

It's been a week since the incident in the kitchen, and Alexander was literally nowhere to be seen. The thought of his sudden disappearance pestered me but I refrained myself from calling him or doing anything, he was a player--He must be busy with other girls.

"You know my dad works in Alexander's company, he was saying that Alex had gone on a vacation with his girlfriend, they might even get engaged soon." The girl beside me said to the other one.

Wow! So this was the reason behind his disappearance.

Why am I even worrying about what he does? It's not like I care.

Then why the fuck do I keep thinking about him?

Calm down, Veronica. Alexander is nobody to you!

"I will not have any feelings for him, never," I muttered to myself and shook my head.

Why did I even say it?

A few minutes passed but suddenly my phone binged, the similar sound of notification caused me to take out my phone and check the message.

Think of the devil, and he'll text you—Well, Alexander texted me just now to come to his Cabin, and even though I knew I shouldn't have gone, but before I could even figure out anything I found myself stuffing my phone into my pocket and walking out of the class.

"Why have you called me here?" I questioned looking at him, the oh-so principal of the college had called me to his cabin by text in the middle of a class probably without even thinking about the suspicion it could raise among the students.

"I think you know the answer, already." The small smirk spread on his lips, his eyes hadn't moved from the laptop screen even for a second.

"You know what the other students could think about it yet you decided to call me here, We both can get into a serious scandal, Alex."

"Is what you and I are doing less than a scandal?" He chuckled shaking his head, the stare still focused on the screen and the pad of fingers connecting with the keyboard ever so often.

"These things might be very common for you, but I don't wish to get into any trouble. I've never taken such risks and neither I want to." I spoke and this time my words managed to bring his attention toward me that resulting in his eyes shifting on my figure.

"Yet, you are here in my cabin." He leaned on his chair and stared at me, the very known glint in his eyes was vivid," Just with my one text."

"I-I—Just—" My spluttering screeched to a halt when he stood up from his chair, his left hand moved to loosen his tie as he walked closer.

"You are nervous." He commented the grin tugged at the corner of his lips, his eyes luring as all the time.

"No, I'm not," I stood on my ground, trying not to give away the overwhelming feeling that'd started to spread through just by his gaze. He came behind me and his hand slowly snaked around my waist stopping at my belly, the two fingers of his other hand traced from my neck to my shoulder and finally stopped at the tip of my fingers before he grabbed my hand and whirled me around to face him.
