Easy on me (Y/N)

Chapter 20

Y/N's POV:
Today is Tommy's first birthday. A lot has happened in the last year. I've reunited with Lizzie, we've started a life together, I've moved back to LA and got a new contract with Marvel. We're shooting the music video next week and Lizzie is so exciting. She's going to be one of the producers on the video to make it as authentically us as possible. Lizzie has been wonderful and is so excited to come out. She's got an interview booked to talk about coming out and I can't wait to support her.
"Baby?" I ask as she rests her head on my shoulder from behind as I cook us breakfast. 
"Yeah."
"Do you think Tommy knows it's his birthday?" I query turning around.
"We're going to make sure he does by the end of the day," she assures me looking up at me with those stunning eyes.
"I'm really excited to have all our family and friends together," I reply smiling brightly.
"Me too. I love our family," Lizzie agrees.
"So do I. And I love you so much Lizzie. I'm so grateful that we found our way back to each other. It's always been you," I blush.
"I love you too my second favourite Y/L/N," she giggles.
"I actually might give Ashley a call," I tease winking at her. She pins me against the wall with my arms above my head.
"Don't you dare," she warns.
"What are you going to do about it?" I challenge her.
"You are mine. Do you understand me? All this belongs to me. You're stuck with me forever. And I'll be damned if I lose you again. I love you. So if you call her I'll tie you to your bed permanently so you can't escape and you'll have to watch as I touch myself and be unable to help or finish," Lizzie reasons smirking.
"I understand and I love you a lot. There's never going to be anyone else Liz. You're stuck with me forever and a day. Just you try to get rid of me," I answer smiling.
"Good. I'm glad we've settled that. Now I better get Tommy up so he can eat and have a nap before everyone gets here," Lizzie instructs backing away. I pout a little until she kisses me making her giggle.
"I adore you dork. Now I'm going to wake up Tommy."

Lizzie's POV:
Everyone starts to arrive but I couldn't take my eyes of Y/N. She had that giant goofy grin on her face that made me fall in love with her. She finally got the family she's always wanted and I'm so lucky to be a small part of that. I can't wait to marry her and adopt Tommy. I love them both with everything I am. I'm not even nervous to come out because I know I have my family and the love of my life to support me. I'm also glad Y/N is coming with me to the interview. She always calms me. It's a pretty big deal I want to make sure I'm saying the right things as to not offend anyone.
"You seem off in your own world," Scarlett starts as she approaches me. She follows my gaze towards Y/N and starts to giggle.
"I'm so shocked. How did I ever think that Y/N would love me back when you've always looked at each other that way?" Scarlett laughs.
"That seems like a lifetime ago. I can't help it. Have you seen her? She's the most beautiful person I've ever seen. And then I start thinking about things she's extremely good at and I can't stop," I admit.
"Oh I know those memories are still firmly imprinted in my mind," Scarlett teases. I nudge her playfully.
"How you feeling about the video?" She checks.
"I'm excited. I want to make sure it's truly us you know. And the perfect way for me to come out and come out as a couple I guess. I'm more nervous for the interview. Like what if they ask how we started dating. Yeah my boyfriend wasn't satisfying me so Y/N gave me the night of my life that kicked off me admitting to myself how much I've always loved and her and wanted her," I ramble.
"Lizzie relax. You can just say you developed feelings for her while you were working together so you ended your relationship at the time. And waited to see if that's what you really wanted before asking her out," Scarlett assures me.
"That's not technically untrue," I sigh.
"You don't have to tell them the full story. No one needs to know that except you and Y/N. All that matters is you fell in love with each other and some bitch of an illness tore you apart but you were always meant to find your way back home, with each other," Scarlett advises me. I tackle her in a hug in gratitude.
"Hey look we're living in one of Y/N's fantasies," Mary-Kate jokes. Y/N walks over laughing.
"My dreams are now a little more realistic than that. They mainly include Tommy, Lizzie and I getting a big house somewhere near the beach, buying a dog and adding to our family," Y/N answers making us all making an aww sound.

"You're so whipped it's hilarious. To think if you would've asked them back when you were messing around with Florence they probably would've both said yes," Mary-Kate jokes. Scarlett and I both nod. Y/N's jaw drops.
"Wait seriously?" Y/N queries eyes wide.
"Yeah we were both whipped. Of course we would," Scarlett agreed.
"You could've told me," Y/N pouts.
"It's ok baby at least it happened in your dreams," I taunt her.
"So not the same thing," she sulks.
"You know if Colin and I don't work out I wouldn't be opposed to all 3 of us being together," Scarlett whispers in her ear to fluster her.
"I hate you all," Y/N huffs storming off making us all laugh.
"That was comedy gold," Mary-Kate belly laughs.

Y/N's POV:
Tommy seems to be enjoying himself he's loving the sound of the wrapping paper when he rips it. I think he prefers that to any of the presents he got. Lizzie brings out the cake to place in front of him. Everyone sings happy birthday to Tommy. This is it. This is the moment that I thought of when I was diagnosed. I didn't think I'd be able to have a family or be with Lizzie again. Yet here I am two and a bit years later with everything I could've ever dreamed of. And this is just the beginning. Lizzie looks at me after everyone had stopped singing.
"Baby are you ok?" She checks cupping my face.
"I never thought I'd have this and this is everything I've ever dreamed of I'm a little overwhelmed," I answer wiping my tears.
"This is it now us forever. And we'll get the big house and the dog and add to our family. You deserve your happy ending Y/N and that's exactly what I intend to give you," Lizzie assures me.
"I love you so much," I sob nestling into her neck.
"I love you too. More than you will ever know."
When I've composed myself I take a deep breath. Lizzie puts a small piece of cake on his plate in front of Tommy and kisses him on the side of the head.
"Mama," he coos reaching for her.
"Did he just?" Lizzie bounces excitedly.
"Yes he did. Go on he wants you," I encourage her. She picks him up and he clutches onto her shirt giving her his version of a kiss when he presses his whole face against her cheek. Lizzie starts to tear up so I rub her back in support. My perfect family.

Tommy starts to get tired so everyone starts to leave until it's just Lizzie, Scarlett and I tidying up.
"You two had me an emotional wreck today," Scarlett laughs.
"Sorry it's been an intense day," I apologise.
"It's ok. You both deserve to let it out," she smiles. Lizzie chews her lip in thought.
"Come on Olsen what are you thinking?" Scarlett encourages her.
"How would it have worked? Like if we did all sleep together," Lizzie admits furrowing her brow.
"Typical Lizzie working out logistics instead of living in the moment," I laugh.
"I think your future wife would've taken control and I think it would've been pretty spectacular," Scarlett reasons.
"Oh definitely. We would've had a lot of fun," Lizzie smirks. I blush in sheer gay panic.
"I uh I'm going to check on Tommy," I stutter making them both laugh.
"Relax we're just winding you up. You don't have to make an excuse. Come here," Lizzie encourages me sitting on the sofa with her arms open. I sit down on the sofa cuddling into her.
"My future wives are hot," Scarlett winks. I throw a cushion at her which she catches.
"Alright I'm going no need to get physical. Save that for our wedding night," she smirks as she leaves. I turn to Lizzie and kiss her cheek.
"How are you feeling after today?" I check.
"I'm just so happy. He called me Mama," she beams.
"He did. That's what you can be if you want to," I mumble nervously.
"Of course I want to. I was thinking of maybe adopting him once we're engaged. I want to commit to both of you," Lizzie informs me.
"Well then that's what will happen then. Whenever you're ready because clearly he is."
"I love you both so much," Lizzie sighs content.
"We love you too. Now may I have this dance?" I request standing up bowing in front of her as I press play on the song I wrote for her. She blushes standing up and I spin her into me. We sway from side to side giggling and kissing. This is what pure contentment must feel like.
