Y/N's POV:
Things have been going really well with Victoria she's just something special. Ashley has invited us over to dinner with Tommy as we've been going out for about a month and a half so she's dying to meet her as is MK.
"Babe are you sure I look ok? They're basically your family I want to make a good impression," Victoria stressed as we pull up outside. I rest my hand on hers lifting it up to my mouth to kiss it gently.
"You look beautiful. So relax. All they want to know is that you'll treat me well. That's it," I assure her.
"Of course I will. I'm more worried about living up to Lizzie. I mean she's your ex and your best friend. I just it's a big deal," she sighs.
"You don't have to live up to anyone. You've made me feel good and like myself for the first time in two years that's incredible and so are you. So please I'm begging you. Just relax," I encourage her.
"Ok thank you," she agrees kissing me. Victoria gets Tommy out of the car while I grab the present we'd bought Ashley for hosting us. I give Victoria a quick wink before I knock on the door.
"Finally we get to meet the woman that's put the goofy ass grin back on her face. Come in please," Ash invites us and instantly Victoria relaxes. We walk in and instantly Ashley takes Tommy hurrying off.
"You ok?" I check.
"She's so nice," Victoria smiles content.
"She's great and so are you." I take her hand following where Ashley went. And then I see her. Victoria grips my hand a little tighter. At least Robbie isn't here.
"Hey how's my favourite Y/L/N?" Lizzie asks Tommy as he clutches onto her finger as she takes him from Ashley.
"Can I get you a drink?" Ashley checks.
"I'm good with water. I'm trying to get back in shape," I sigh.
"You're in excellent shape already babe. You don't need to do anything else. I'll have the same," Victoria compliments me earning rolled eyes from Lizzie. Petty.
"Don't go and say hello to her let her come to you. She's the one being a bitch," Ashley advises us handing us water.
"Thank you. We've got you something for having us over," I inform her. It's a drawing that Tommy did with Ashley that she loves framed. She tears up a little.
"It was Victoria's idea," I add. She hugs us both tightly making Victoria relax more. Lizzie gives Tommy to MK rolls her eyes walking out in a huff.
"Childish much," MK shouts after her.
"Sorry let me introduce myself I'm Mary-Kate but everyone calls me MK," she says to Victoria.
"It's nice to meet Y/N's favourite Olsen," Victoria smirks.
"I like her. Come on tell us how you get her to stop being a sulky mess," MK laughs dragging Victoria over to the sofa.
"Don't worry I'll check on her. It's not your job anymore," Ash assures me. And here comes the guilt. What for Y/N? Nothing ok. Sit next to your girlfriend and focus on her. I sit next to Vic and kiss her cheek. She cuddles into me and talks enamoured about our time together.Lizzie's POV:
"Why didn't you tell me the girlfriend would be here?" I whisper yell at Ashley.
"Because you need to see this. She's moving on and you're letting her. You love her Lizzie. You're not just losing her but yourself too. He's destroying you anyone can see it. Stop your engagement and fight for the woman you love," Ashley encourage me.
"Why should I be the one fighting?" I challenge her.
"Because you're the one who moved on first so she just followed your lead. She's always been the one to put you first. Why can't you do the same?" Ashley quips back.
"I'm scared," I sigh hanging my head.
"Of what?"
"Her breaking my heart again. With Robbie he can't break my heart because he's never had it. He never will have it cause it's hers. It's self preservation," I explain.
"No it's not it's self destruction. Now grow the fuck up and fight for your woman," Ashley demands.
"Why do you care so much?"
"Because I love her. And never has she looked at me once because you were always there. I'm always compared to you. I joke and laugh about being her wife but that's what I've always wanted. She won't look twice because still she's protecting you," Ashley opens up.
"I had no idea. Why didn't you tell me? Or her?" I question hugging her.
"What's the point? I'm not you," Ashley mumbles tearily."Everything makes so much sense now. Oh my god. How long?" I ask.
"Since your 21st birthday. My boyfriend had just broken up with me and made me feel like complete shit. She spent the entire evening determined to make me laugh and smile. She danced with me for hours even though she hated it. Ever since that night I fell for her," Ashley answers.
"I remember that night. That's why I got so drunk. Y/N didn't pay me any attention all evening and I acted out because I'm used to having it all. I didn't care about my boyfriend's attention I just wanted hers and then she had to carry me home," I recall.
"Mom was right. We both love her but you're the one with an actual chance so promise me you'll try," Ashley demands.
"Ok. I'll try. I'm pretty sure Robbie is sleeping with his best friend anyway. I'm sure it'll come out at the party mom is hosting," I assure her.
"I'll try and get her to read that book in the mean time with all your notes. This girl is nice though so you'll have to really tempt her," Ashley encourages me.
"I've got this."I walk downstairs sitting myself down next to Y/N.
"Hey," I say nervously.
"Hi. You stopped having your little tantrum now," she teases nudging me making me smile.
"Yes. I'm sorry I... this is just hard you know," I explain.
"I get it. This is Victoria," Y/N introduces us.
"Hey it's nice to meet you," she says extending her hand.
"You too. Thanks for making her smile again," I sigh faking a smile.
"You're welcome."
"May I?" I request signalling to hold Tommy.
"Of course," Victoria agrees. I hold Tommy who instantly clutches my finger.
"How about an Auntie Lizzie and Tommy bonding day buddy?" I question and he coos almost as if he's saying yes.
"I can always do with the extra help. Just not around you know who please," Y/N agrees.
"No he won't be anywhere near my favourite little man." She looks at me trying to work out what that means. Victoria's phone starts to ring she shows Y/N the number and she signals for her to take it. She heads outside to answer.
"She's waiting for news on a big job," Y/N explains.
"We all know what that's like. What are your plans?" I check.
"Book tour starts here next week then I'm going to LA next month and I've got a meeting with marvel while I'm there. I'm excited to get back working," Y/N informs me.
"So you're coming home?" I ask trying to hide my excitement.
"That I am. My support network is in LA and work is too. Living in London just isn't sustainable," Y/N admits.
"You're coming to my dinner then in LA at Mom's?"
"Yes," Y/N affirms.
"Will you just read the pages before then so you can answer my questions about your book?" I plead.
"Ok," she laughs. There's hope.
