~Third Person ~ An Hour Later~
When Kira woke up, she immediately put her guard up. She was still in the cell in the Avengers HQ, and to her, the Avengers were enemies...
She took in her surroundings, trying to find a way to escape, but there wasn't one...
"You're finally awake," Natasha said walking in with Clint, Tony, and Steve behind her.
Kira sat back on the bed, leaned against the wall, and just raised an eyebrow at them.
Natasha also raised an eyebrow. "Who are you?"
"None of your business"
Natasha crossed her arms. "We're not letting you go until to answer our questions"
"Then I guess you're stuck with me"
Rolling his eyes, Tony took one of the chairs and turned it around, and sat in it backwards, facing Kira. "Kid, I'm not in the mood to deal with this shit right now. Why were you going through my shit?"
"Sir, it seems as though she wasn't alone. Going back through my camera files, it seems that there were two other young girls with her" Jarvis said.
Tony nodded and turned to look back at Kira. "They friends of yours?"
Kira glared at him. "Don't touch them"
"I'll take that as a yes," Tony said, crossing his arms. "So either, you cooperate with us and answer our questions or I'll have Jarvis track where your two friends went and we'll interrogate them"
Before anyone could even comprehend what happened, Kira ran over to the glass and slammed her hand up against it. "Don't fucking touch them!"
Tony smirked. "Then cooperate with us. Who are you?"
She couldn't tell them her real name, if she did then Clint and Natasha would know who she is, if they even remembered her... She didn't want them to know who she was, she just needed to get back to the girls. She needed a fake name, but she couldn't seem to think of one. "Katarina," She said, her Russian accent becoming very noticeable.
Natasha raised an eyebrow at her. "Ты русский?" "You're Russian?' She asked in Russian.
"к несчастью" 'Unfortunately'
"Вы тоже из Красной комнаты?" 'Are you from the Red Room too?"
Kira shook her head. "Нет" 'No'
"Can you guys please speak English? Not all of us speak Russian and I'm sure the rest of us would love to know what she's saying" Clint said.
"She's not from the Red Room..." Natasha said, leaning against the glass in front of Kira, looking intently at her.
Steve raised an eyebrow at her. "You sure she's telling the truth?"
Natasha ignored him. "How old are you hun?" She asked Kira.
"Nineteen..."
"Why is such a young girl creeping around here going through things? Where are your parents"
'A lot closer than you think,' Kira thought to herself. "Dead"
Natasha frowned. "Sorry to hear that... What were you doing here?"
"Looking... For... Stuff..." Kira mentally facepalmed. 'What the fuck Kira? That doesn't sound suspicious at all'
They all shared a confused look. "What kind of stuff?" Tony asked, raising an eyebrow.
"......Drugs..."
Tony rolled his eyes, giving her an annoyed look. "The truth, please?"
"I can't tell you..."
Tony sighed. "Well, we have someone who can read minds on our team so if you don't tell us then we'll bring her in and she'll tell us," He said, shrugging. "Your choice"
Kira thought about her options: She could tell them and risk getting punished by the Guards in the Program, or she could not tell them and have them bring in Wanda and they find out anyways. But if they bring in Wanda then they'll find out who she really is... And she didn't want that...
"When I was a small child I was taken into the Program, I have no idea what exactly it is, and we were never allowed to know. It's kind of like the Red Room but much worse, we are trained to go on missions, we go through tests, and we are punished when we misbehave or resist. Our missions range from killing people to gathering information. We are called Sparrows, for some unknown reason..." She looked down as she explained. She didn't tell them everything, just everything they wanted to know.
Natasha looked at her sympathetically, she saw herself in Kira... She was just a girl, taken into a torturous place where she didn't want to be, used for horrible things against her will, and abused when she doesn't behave. "I'm so sorry..."
"Don't be..." She rolled her eyes. "Can I be let go now? I need to get back to-" Kira stopped herself before she said anything about the girls. Why was she suddenly telling them things that she shouldn't be telling them? Any time she was ever being interrogated she was always the one that kept her mouth shut. 'What the fuck is happening to me?'
Tony shook his head. "Nope, not until you tell me what you were doing going through my shit"
Kira groaned and threw her head back. "I told you, I was looking for something. Don't ask what because I have no idea, they didn't tell us. All they told us was that it was 'information' and it was in like a long black tube" She shrugged. "Now can I go?"
Natasha leaned against the glass and looked at Kira intently. "Who do you have to get back to? You said you had to get back to someone... Is it the two girls that were here with you?"
Kira looked down. "Maybe"
"Are they also in... The Program...?"
She nodded. "Yes," Kira sighed and crossed her arms. "Why can't I leave? I told you why I was here, who I am and where I came from, so why can't I leave?"
"Do you actually want to go back into the program?" Tony asked her. "I think being here is better than being there, isn't it?"
Kira shook her head. "They'll find me no matter where I go, they'll never stop, and when they do find me, I'll be punished. Plus, I don't really want to be here. I don't particularly like the Avengers" She shrugged.
"Why don't you like us?"
"Just don't" She shrugged again. "Can I go?"
After thinking about it for a minute, Tony shook his head. "Nah, I think we're going to keep you here for a little bit longer, mainly because I think you're lying about some things, but also because I don't think a kid of your age should be out there, especially in something like the Red Room"
"I'm not a kid! I'm nineteen, that means I'm an adult"
Tony shrugged. "Barely"
Kira rolled her eyes. The Avengers decided that she probably wasn't going to answer any more questions so they decided to leave her to give her time to herself and then maybe they'd try and question her later. Natasha felt like there was something about Kira that seemed... Off about her, not in a bad way, but in a way that made Natasha think she was lying to them about something. Not where she came from or what the Program does, Natasha can tell that she was telling the truth about that, but there was something that she was lying about... Natasha just couldn't place her finger on it
