Adrien Agreste, a young blonde boy about the age of ten sat in his large room playing with his dolls or as he insisted everyone call them ‘action figures’. His favorite action figure was of the real life superhero, Lady Miraculous. A extremely pretty young woman with long jet black hair and the kindest smile. Adrien had a crush on her which was cute but she was twice his age.
“Adrien, it’s time for school.” his father’s assist Natalie stated. It was Adrien first day in public school. His friend, Chloe Bourgeois would be there so he wouldn’t be all alone in contrast with staying home were he felt neglected. The enthusiastic blonde didn’t know exactly what to take with him. He looked at his Lady Miraculous figure and put it in his limit addition astronaut cat backpack.
Eagerly Adrien rushed out the door grabbing a chef prepared yogurt cup that his family’s personal chef Marlena Césaire had provided. With a big smile only he could mustered he thanked her. Marlena only worked for the Agreste household in the part-time she swapped with Chef Tom Dupain who Adrien liked a lot. Tom allowed Adrien to ‘help’ with the cooking even know he created more messes to clean up but Tom always reassured him that the more of the mess, the more fun it is to cook. Tom would also talk about his home life. Sabine, Tom’s wife, worked at the bakery downstairs while their daughter went to school.
Tom was Adrien’s role model. Adrien didn’t want to be anything like his biological father. Tom felt bad for Adrien and would scruff Adrien’s blonde hair to reassure him that Tom would be there if he needed him. His mother left for some reason that Gabriel won’t devulge. Gabriel never said one encouraging word to Adrien after his wife left three years ago. So, Tom adopted Adrien like his own son hoping he wouldn’t be too emotionally broken as he got older.
Adrien sat in the back of the limo excited for the first day of school. He rambled on about different topics as little kids tend to do. He asked his driver multiple questions that his bodyguard/driver replied with silence. Adrien nicknamed him the gorilla since he had looked like one in the animal books that Adrien had possessed.
Adrien waved bye to his driver as he saw’ll a old man trip. Adrien rushed over to help. ”Are you okay, Mister?” he sweetly asked knowing he couldn't do much to help. He wasn’t strong nor was he supposed to be talking to strangers but being kind was his nature. He tried his best by picking up the old man’s weird black and red box.
“Yes, I am. Thank you. You’re going to grow up to be a fine gentleman.” The old man told the green-eyed boy who looked over dressed for a public school. Gabriel insisted his son were a dress shirt and tie.
“Here.” The man said handing the boy a smaller red and black box. “Nathalie told me not to take things from strangers.” Adrien said as he tried to hand it back to the old Chinese man.
“My name is Fu. Yours?” The man questioned.
“Adrien.” the boy hesitantly repleid.
“Now we’re no longer strangers.” He said as Adrien smiled and stuffed the box into his backpack glad he made a friend even if it was unusual circumstances.
“Adrikins!” Chloe yelled as she spotted her friend enter the courtyard. She ran up to him almost tackling him and kissed him on the cheek multiple times causing a boy in a red sweatshirt to shout “COOTIE ALERT!!!”
Nobody came near Adrien or wanted to talk to him since heaven forbid he had ‘cooties’ because of Chloe so much for first impressions. Fifth graders were tough to figure out.
“Lady Miraculous took a photo with me yesterday. Can you believe that?” A girl with dark red hair put up in a messy ponytail bragged to a girl with jet black ponytails with red ribbons.
“See!” The girl shoved the phone screen into her friends face. Adrien came over curious to look if the one girl was telling the truth or not. Sure enough she was.
“Your’re so lucky!” Adrien said willing to do anything to meet his idol.
“Of course I am. I her biggest fan.” She stated knowing Chloe was a die-hard fan as well.
“Pfft... I have all her limit edition action figures.” Adrien bragged as he pulled out his action figure from his backpack to prove his point. Unbeknownst to him the girl who hadn’t said a word was indeed Lady Miraculous. Hard to believe a ten year old girl was Paris’s protector.
“She even talks.” Adrien boasted as he pulled the string behind the doll’s back.
“I’m Paris’s good luck charm.” He pulled the string a second time.
“Don’t worry I’ll protect you.” which was Adrien’s favorite line.Lady Miraculous’s enemy was Hawkseid. He released Akumas to do his dirty work. He was capable of causing a lot of damage that wasn’t magically fixed. He was dangerous yet Lady Miraculous beat his minion’s every time.
The real identity of Hawkseid was Gabriel Agreste who was after the Ladybug miraculous which were the red earrings that gave Lady Miraculous her powers. Much to the public’s misunderstandings he didn’t what to conquer the world. Hawkseid wanted to give the miraculous to the Queen of the Amozans in exchange for his wife’s safe return. Gabriel did not know his wife was a runaway Amozan princess when he married her and conceived a son.
The Amazon’s hated men for one simple reason their source of worship the Ladybug miraculous worn by many of Amazon Queens and was stolen by a wizard in which the whereabouts of him are unknown. His Miraculous was given to him by Emilie, his wife before she was kidnapped and took back to her homeland without a chance to say goodbye to her son or husband.
Adrien came home to an empty house once again. He went into his room and opened the red and black box the strange old man gave him. Inside was a black ring that poked too big to fit his fingers but he tried it on anyway. It resized to be impossible to take off and with a flash of green a little black cat-like creature appeared.
“Do you have cheese?” The creature asked as Adrien was surprised.
“Kitty?” Adrien questioned.
“Plagg. I’m called Plagg.” he said as he attempted to look for cheese. Adrien tried to take the ring off wondering if he was just having a over active imagination as his father so often told him.
“Good luck trying. It won’t come off unless you kiss the person you love.”
Plagg said.“Who’s that?” Adrien asked. Plagg was looking directly at Adrien’s collection of Lady Miraculous posters on his wall.
“I have no idea.” The creature shrugged as his stomach growled.
