4. Father? Mother?

Laylah POV:

"How long will this spell hold?" Archie asks as Nari squeezed him tight in a hug.

"Douxie's transmogrification spell won't last forever"

A ball of music floated over to Blinky.

"Which is why my fervent studies cannot be interrupted!"

"Can you stop with the infernal noise?" Namora yelled throwing a book at the floating object.

"I don't know. Kind of like it" Stuart says with a smile

"It helps me concentrate. You try doing this" Krel argues

Blinky turned to me. "Laylah..."

"Yes?" I reply looking up from my book

Adeline jumped onto my shoulder a purred looking down at the book I was reading.

"Do you know how long your spell will last?"

"Well, it can't last up to 24 hours, if I maintain focus" I say closing the book and switching it for another.

"But I'm confused, don't you need to use physical energy to maintain it?"

"Well yes..." I start

"That is an option, but if I focus mentally, like I'm doing now with reading, I am able to focus my energy there, if anything happens where there is a threat for it to separate, I will get a signal"

Blinky nods and seems very impressed.

"Now what?" Krel rolled his eyes

"My sisters returned from Akiridion-5!"

"Aja?" I whisper

"Aja? My ninja-angel love muffin? Whoo!" Steve says with excitement throwing the book he was holding up into the air.

Krel runs after aswell. Stuart and Toby walk over. I run up to join them. Adeline was on my shoulder.

"Sister, it's been far too long"

"Let's try to keep to the same side of the universe from now on, hmm?"

"Hey, Your Majesty!" Stuart bows

"Your Majesty" Toby says

I bow.

Aja smiles seeing me.

"I like the new hair" She says pointing to my hair.

"Oh" I say in a bit of amazement.

"Thank you"

Krel walked up and bowed

"Your Majest..."

But Steve barged in and hugged Aja.

"My Majesty!"

He twirled her around like a ballerina in a jewellery box

"No, Steve, don't..."

Then they started to make out.

I wasn't sure what to do in this situation so I just stood there looking the ground.

"Oh, my blond oaf, you shouldn't have done that" Aja says placing her hands on her face

"Why not? I..."

A medium height man with short dark hair with brown eyes walked out of the ship.

"Oh, you, uh... [mumbles] huh?" Steve was basically breathless

"You got a new boyfriend?! I knew I wasn't good enough for you"

Aja started to laugh

"Eli is not my boyfriend"

"Eli?!" I say

"No way" I giggle

He pulls glasses out of his pocket and snaps his fingers.

"Pepperjack?! What?"

"What? Pepperjack? Pepperjack?" Steve mumbled

"Sister!" Krel yelled from behind. Aja leaned her head over and started to walk towards him

"I hit my growth spurt. Who would've thought?"

"I sure didn't" I whisper to Adeline. We both chuckle to each other.

"Puberty's a lot more pleasant on an alien planet"

Eli puts his hand out in a "C" shape and smiles

"Creep...slayerz?"

Steve, the idiot he is, runs away towards Aja and leaves Eli hanging.

Steve pushes Krel out of the way and knocks him to the ground.

"Aja..."

"I think we should help Krel up" Adeline insists.

I nod and we go behind Steve and put a hand out.

"Here"

Krel grabs my hand. "Thanks" He mutters then turns his attention to Steve and Aja.

"Don't worry, you will get a moment to speak to your sister" I whisper

"Like you would get it, but yeah I guess so..." Krel says rolling his eyes a bit.

"I do actually understand, I wanted to talk to Merlin a lot after his missions a lot, some of them took months, but of course the old man was to busy with the king's wishes he had no time for anyone else"

"Oh, I'm sorry" Krel apologizes

"All good" I smile.

We now turned our attention to Aja's and Steve's conversation

"If my math is right, that was our seventh kiss..."

"Oh, no." Krel sighs

"Why's that a big deal?" Steve questioned

"On Akiridion-5, the seventh kiss makes baby"

[bird screams in distance]

I let out a gush a laughter but cover my mouth to keep it in. Krel was doing the same.

"You mean you're pregnant? Like, right now?" Steve askes

"No, of course not." Aja insists

"Oh, good. Phew" Steve says in relief

Krel steps in next to Aja

"You are"

Okay so I'm gonna lie but I started to laugh pretty hard at this point and I mean I couldn't restrain myself.

"Wha...?" Toby says in surprise

"Mazel tov" Stuart says happily throwing his arms in the air.

I'm guessing that meant something like "congrats" or "celebration" from his planet.

"I'm gonna be a father?"

"Oh, wait. I'm gonna be a mother?"

Steve covers his stomach in embarrassment

"Oh, man, I'm so glad I'm here for this" Toby chuckles.

"Me too" I agree

We both give each other a high five.

At that point Steve started to scream.
