Chapter 18

"So doc? What's wrong with y/n" Jungkook asked

He was sitting alone in the doctor's room with the doctor. Y/n was in another room, finishing her tests.

"Well, she's fine now.." the doctor spoke

"What are you hiding?" Jungkook asked in a serious voice

"Uh- um...I wasn't the one hiding something, it's your sister" the doctor said

"What? What was she hiding" Jungkook asked getting impatient by the minute

"She was at stage 2 of cancer before...the results of the tests we did showed that she is at stage 4 now. And there's no cure for cancer...and because of this drug someone put in her, she has few minutes left" he said

"What?! No! No! Stop lying, just stop! I'm going to my sister. She'll be fine!"

"Sir-"

Jungkook ran out of the room without listening to the doctor. It all happened in slow realization. He saw her. On the bed. Eyes closed. The heart rate monitor wasn't working anymore. The waves on the screen flattened down to straight line.

Beep...beep..beeeeeeeeeep.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

PRESENT TIME
Jungkook shot up straight from his sleep in cold sweat. His eyes adjusted to the sunrise occurring from the gap between his curtains inside his room. He smiled and calmed his tensed state.

"It was just a dream" he whispered

Calming down his breath, he went outside his room.

It was Christmas today but another normal day at the Kim's. They didn't celebrate it ever since their real mom left and their dad became cold and distant. Jin, as the eldest, always tried to help them grow out of their cold moods.

"What the hell is taehyung doing there on the floor?" he thought when he saw tae sleeping on a pillow.

"He's out of his mind!?" Jungkook spoke bewildered

Jungkook threw taehyung back into his room, and he then went to check on y/n. He was so worried last night that it even meddled in his dreams. His worries faded when he saw his sister sleeping peacefully in her room.

Then, his face changed. He moved towards the bed and pulled the covers. As expected, those were just a bunch of pillows.

"Huh?! Where's y/n!" he shouted confused

"The heck?! Whose making all that noise!" Jin shouted from the other room

Slowly, all the boys came out of their rooms in their pjs. Jungkook told them that y/n had disappeared from her room. But then, they heard a noise downstairs. It was y/n's.

"So beautiful!" her muffled shout was heard

They rushed downstairs to see an amazing sight. Y/n was staring in awe as the maids fixed ornaments on the tree. There were presents at the bottom too. All of them were astonished.

"Woah" Jimin was the first one to speak

"Oh you all are awake. Finally, here's the surprise" y/n said

"Merry Christmas!" she cheered

"When I heard that you all stopped celebrating it, I had to step in" she continued

"GUYS! OPEN UP YOUR GIFTS HURRY" Y/n jumped in joy

"Excuse me?! Young lady you are supposed to be resting. Not jumping up and down" Jin said almost shook
