pretend like the last chapter didn't exist. I was kinda out of it and the writing really sucked :,)

"Someone help me!" the man screamed as he was being taken away by the flying creatures.

"Well, I guess we're not going down that way" You sweat dropped. "I knew that guy was gonna die the minute he started climbing. Gon, I can predict the future!" he laughed at your antics. (math antics *lip bite*) You looked around to see if other applicants had found a way to the bottom without dying. After a few minutes you see people knocking and tapping at the floors trying to figure out if there was a way down. Others were just standing there looking around in confusion. 

"There are fewer people around." You heard Kurapika say. He was right. There seemed to be less people than you previously counted on the airship. Looks like nearly half the applicants have already found the exit. 

"Y/n! Kurapika! Leorio!" Gon called out. 

"What is it Gon? Did you find something?" You questioned.

"Look at this. We found a trap door. Check it out!" You gasped at his discovery.

"On the count of three we all hop in in exactly the same time, okay?"

"I guess that means this is goodbye for now, guys."

"We'll meet up at the base of the tower"

"Bye bye everyone, be safe!"

"Let's do this. One"

"Two"

"Three!"

You looked around after the fall only to see the four again. "Oh" You chuckled at the short goodbyes from earlier.

"y/n?"

"huh? oh killua! sorry, I wasn't paying attention"

"here you forgot to put this on" he gently put this watch with a timer, and two buttons, x and o, around your wrist.

"thank you" you smiled.

"it's nothing.." he said, scratching his nape while pink was visible on his face. " they said we have to wait for a bit for the sixth person to arrive"

"Oh okay, I think I'll rest a bit. I had a hard time sleeping back in the airship"

"Shut up old man, you're gonna wake up y/n" Killua said, annoyed.

"I don't care! What if nobody else shows up before we reach the end of our time limit?"

While seemingly half asleep, you took off your shoe and threw it at Leorio's direction. "Gah! What the hell?" 

Knocking was heard. Sounds like the sixth applicant is about to come in. You open your eyes in anticipation. 

"Wow! Good grief!" that annoying voice...

'It really had to be Tonpa' you sighed in disappointment. 'at least we can start heading to the base of the tower already'
