TW: Blood, duels, weapons, mention of homophobia, swearing, panic attack
Dream's POV:
I couldn't move without my back hurting. Whatever medicine that guy used really works. The marks stopped bleeding and now they're scabbing over. I'm starting to see what the people at my old sector meant. It's horrible here, Schlatt could've just told me all his rules but no, he had to hurt me. I wonder if sector 6 was just a one in a million thing.
I still don't know my roommate's name. He refuses to talk to me and I don't want to push it. He seems fragile, like if I touch him he'd break into a million pieces. I can tell that he's been broken by the people here, he'll flinch whenever he hears footsteps coming down the hallway. I've seen him shaking when the patrol men come to check our room and bring food. What has the system done to him?
It was difficult to tell the time but I know for sure it was early when men came to our room.
"Today is training, be ready in the next 3 minutes," They told us. I looked over at Mr.Pinkhair and I see him walking to his small desk. He throws a red cape over his shoulders and picks up a few hair clips. They're beautiful, gold with small gems pressed into them. He looked like royalty.
"What does that mean? What are we training for?" I asked. He returns my confused look with a glare. He stands a few feet away from the door so I mirror him by standing beside him. The door unlocks and an enderman hybrid walks in.
"Technoblade, Dream," He motions us out the door. Technoblade? What an interesting name. I wanted to whisper it under my breath but he would hear it and probably get scared. So I refrained from that and decided to just repeat it in my head.
We exited the building and it opened up to training grounds. It wasn't as big as I was expecting but it was still cool.
"Under Schlatt's orders you two are going to duel today. Not to the death but it should be a productive day," Ranboo instructed us, "Sorry."
With that, the enderman walked away from us. Techno started weaving his way through other training areas and I was forced to run after him.
"Wait up," I shouted. Techno didn't stop and continued to walk through training areas. I rolled my eyes, I had no choice but to follow him. He stopped in front of a large dirt circle that I assumed was the duel arena. I really didn't want to fight him but I knew that I wouldn't have a choice. What would happen if I lost?
"Choose your weapon," Techno whispered to me. Before I could ask any other questions a small door opened and inside were rows and rows of weapons. Techno entered the small room and started to look at the swords that were lined up on the wall. I stood there like an idiot as I marveled the amount of weapons one room could hold.
I walked over to the wall that held all the axes. I preferred these over the swords, even if they were heavier. There were at least 20 hanging here on the wall but I was immediately drawn to one furthest away from the others. I picked it up and realized that it wasn't as heavy as all the other axes I've held. I didn't know what material it was made out of, it was emerald green but it didn't feel like iron or stone. I kept flipping it around in my hands, I was mesmerized by the sheer beauty.
Something touched my shoulder and I flinched, not expecting it. I turned around and Techno was glaring at me. I offered a smile but it was returned with a scowl. He motioned for me to follow him out and into the area. It wasn't too special, just a dirt ring with wooden rails around it. It looked like something that could be used for bullfighting.
