TW: Swearing, mention of killing people
Techno's POV:
I looked into Niki's eyes and I instantly felt really grateful for her presence in my life. Now that we're sat out here I remember the conversation we had when I asked her why she was my friend. I avert my eyes and look at the ground.
"Sooooo, I have a question," I look to see her reaction and she gestures for me to continue, "What did you mean when you said 'I'm sure it's more than that' when we talked last? What did you mean?"
Niki sighed, "I can't really tell you, you have to figure it out yourself. But I was talking about Dream. If that helps."
"Nope, actually very unhelpful."
"Sorry," She shrugs, "Not sorry."
I shot her a glare that she just laughed at. I rolled my eyes at her behavior, why can't she just tell me?
"So why did you bring me out here?" Niki asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes. She knows exactly why, she's just playing around. I sigh in frustration, why does she have to make things so difficult?
"I need help."
"OOooOooo~. The almighty Blood God needs help?"
"Shut up."
"No."
I run my hands down my face, is she going to make me say it? I looked over at Niki trying to see if she was planning something else but when our eyes met all I could see what encouragement. Why is she so impossible?
"Fine," I take a deep breath, "I think I like Dream and I don't know what to do."
"I think it's simple," Niki said as she observed her nails. I clicked my tongue at the response, it is faaaaar from simple, "You like him. He likes you. You confess. Now you're a couple."
"It's not that easy though!" I slumped down on the ground. If she wasn't going to be helpful then I'll just leave.
"Sorry sorry," Niki waved her hands in front of her, as if erasing what she said before, "I know it's complicated, especially for you. But you'll just be in more pain if you don't say anything! I'm glad you've finally realized this though."
"What do you mean 'finally'?" I raised an eyebrow.
"It was so obvious before. I'm pretty sure you two are just as oblivious as a piece of bark!" She laughed as I just narrowed my eyes at her.
"Was that really necessary?"
"Absolutely!" Niki continued laughing at my obvious hatred of the comment.
"I'm leaving."

I ran my hands through my hair for probably the 100th time. I never went inside, just somewhere on the other side of the house. Niki was helpful in the sense that she made the fact that I've come to terms with my feelings less scary. Meaning that the consequences of it now feel a little bit less than they were before. I also never admitted it out loud and barely in thoughts, even now.
