Chapter 6 ~ Sheath Pt.2

Techno's POV:

I was glad he didn't yell at me again. I didn't need that embarrassment twice. Dream and the panda hybrid walked over to Niki and I.

"I thought you didn't want to talk to anyone," Dream jokes. I smile because I get the joke but Niki didn't seem to get it.

"Do you have a problem with that?" Niki deflected. I winced, I didn't like it when people raised their voice. Dream noticed this and sat down next to me. Niki opened her mouth to speak again but I just shook my head. Dream put an arm around me and I naturally flinched at the contact but eventually leaned into his side. Niki gave me a confused look. The panda hybrid sat down on the other side of Niki.

"Don't do that again," I whisper into Dream's ear.

"Yeahhhhh. Sorry about that, I didn't mean for that to happen," Dream gave me a lopsided smile. I nodded and turned to face Niki.

"Niki this is Dream, Dream this is Niki. Dream and I are roommates," I introduce Niki to Dream. Her smile looks hesitant towards him and I can understand that. Cat hybrids aren't very strong but then again I'm not a very strong hybrid either. Like I've said before, piglin hybrids are the very weakest. Ironic how I became the most famous and strongest warrior ain't it.

"I'm Sapnap. It's nice to meet you all!" Sapnap the panda hybrid introduced himself. I was starting to get anxious. There were so many people here and I felt like they were waiting for me to say something.

We probably looked weird sitting there. 4 kids, one girl and 3 boys, two boys leaning against each other, ready to fight the world. The girl and boy awkwardly staring at each other (A/N: This is not a ship!) waiting for someone to say something. A typical friend group. What will they accomplish?

Dream's POV:

Sapnap is a great person. All of the people I've met here are. Tech doesn't believe me though. He thinks that everyone wants to use him because he's the best warrior. If I were him I would probably feel the same but Techno really needs to talk to people. Whenever I bring it up he'll just say,

"I talk to Niki! She counts!"

I mean he isn't wrong but I wish he would talk to other people besides Niki and I. I would never force it on him though, it's his own problem to overcome. I can only help so much.

The next 5 days were great. The four of us got to know each other a little more. Niki was given to Schlatt by her mean step-brother and was put into the system at age 10. Sapnap was traded from sector 1 and was put in the system at 14 years old.

The time we spent together was great. Techno seemed a little bit happier but never contributed to conversations with the four of us. Schlatt was going to be back from his business trip soon and I didn't want to stop seeing Sapnap and Niki. Schlatt's advisor was an angel compared to him. Though, I haven't seen him yet. He gave us all these old clocks so we would know what time it was. Currently, it was 11PM and I was humming a song to Techno, it helped him sleep.
