(SPOILER ALERT)
When: October 20, 2014
Where: Queen's ChambersEverything is moving along smoothly. Too smoothly. It's the day of the Wedding. We've only spent four days preparing, and nothing has gone wrong. Or maybe something has gone wrong, just nobody told me about? I'm over reacting. I can't seem to think of much else other than the fact that in a mere four hours I'll be exchanging "I do's" with Morpheus.
My attendants keep telling me to calm down but I can't. I'm so nervous. What am I even nervous about? I don't know. What I do know is Jen was suppose to be here with my dress 30 minutes ago. I haven't a clue as to what it looks like. When I asked Jen about it, she only replied with, "Something befitting the Queen of Chaos."
Just as I'm about to ring for an update, there's a soft knock on my door.
"Come in!" I shout. A familiar head peaks out from behind the door. "Jen!" I've never been so happy to see my childhood friend before. She grins at me.
"Close your eyes, I'm holding your dress." I impatiently do as I'm told. There's footsteps mixed with the sound of something dragging on the ground. I can sense something right in front of my face.
"Okay, open them." I blink the bright light away. I finally focus my eyes and stare in aw at the satin masterpiece Jen is holding. At first it looks like a wild mix of Reds and greens. Normally, I would think these color would't work well together. But the way the fabrics flow together as one, is strikingly beautiful.
"Well, aren't you going to try it on?" Jen asks.
"It would be my honor." I say as I bow down to her jokingly. We both laugh as she tosses the gown at me. I go behind a changing screen and put the dress on. I'm happy to find that the back of the dress has an hidden zipper. However, once fully zipped, it appears to be a laced back.
I step out from behind the curtain and step towards Jen. She looks proud and accomplished and excited all at the same time.
"It came out better than I thought it would." She says.
"I want to see myself," I say as I step towards my floor length mirror. "Wow, Jen, this is incredible!"
I take in my reflection. It's even more stunning when worn. What I thought was just random hues of green and red, turn out to be roses. When I shift and the lighting changes, the dresses design switches between a garden of roses and one single, magnificent rose. The dress itself is higher in the front and longer in the back. The front looks like it was a full length but was bunched up then tied up at knee length with black ribbon. The bows of the black remind me of spider and insect in a garden. The back of the gown cascades down from my waist to the floor, trialing a few feet behind me. The top of the dress is a beautiful fitted top, encrusted with a web of glimmering jewels.
I turn my head to look back at Jen, who is still standing behind me. "Jen, seriously, this is just ... so... wow."
She giggles at my response. "Well the looks not complete yet." I give her a confused look but she just puts up a finger, and reaches around in her bag before pulling out a small jewelry box.
"Oh, Jen, you didn't have to-" She cuts me off.
"I didn't." She grins before opening the box. Inside are crimson red jewel earrings. They're a string of four shapes consisting or a diamond, heart, spade, and club. "Morpheus did."
She takes them out of their case and drops them into my palm. I pick one of and walk closer to the mirror to put them in. "But when did you talk to Morpheus? I didn't introduce you yet."
