Chapter 7. The Notebook

We all were here at the hospital so the first thing we did in the morning was to check who was going. I went to check the name. We all were in. I saw the staff name, Xander's name was also there, I remember what he said to me "I will make you fall in love with me."

For the first time I am feeling nervous and excited both at one time, I know what he said, is what he ment, I saw the determination in his eyes but I have no clue what he's going to do. Jessica have narrated me so many romance novels, now I am having a flash back of all. I was still looking at the board, I didn't realise when Brian came stand next to me.

'You look like a creep stop smiling like that.'

He looked tired, I don't think he wanted to go there.

" Tired?"

' Night shift... '

He wanted to say more but then he decided not to and forced a smile.

" Night shift, you can say no if you want."

' I talked with Olivia... Eden was right she didn't love me.'

His eyes were teary, he's looking straight into my eyes and I hugged him, I don't think of anything else Brian rearly cry it's my second time seeing him like that, he is truly hurt.

' She said all I did was work, that I didn't gave her time. She found someone and didn't tell me because she wanted me to know how it's feel to be neglected. Iris I did everything I could. I've skipped classes for her I am one year behind because of that, I choose to go to see her spend time with her. I guess I wasn't... I wasn't...'

" It's alright Brian, you did everything you could, me and Jess we both know how hard you tried."

He don't talk about his feelings alot so him telling me all this means only one thing that he cannot take it all alone. I let him out of my embrace and we start moving towards residents lounge so we can change and get ready for the medical fest, he really need a distraction right now, his eyes are red, he's looking like a freaking zombie.

"Brian you can talk to Dr.William. "

' No, I am gonna be the best trauma surgeon in the country, I'm gonna be real busy for all of this. '

I know he is saying that because he is hurt, I guess it's okay for now to not push it furthermore. We both reached to the lounge and Jess was ready, Brian put his smile face back guess he doesn't want an argument with Jess about the whole situation. Dr. Black ( head of neuro) walked in.

' Everyone, we are going to stay there for 2days 1night so make sure you have everything you need and there'll be some students on the first day you have to make sure you get the best student to apply for our hospital. Understood.'

'YES DR.' ( everyone)

'Second day we are going to provide free treatment at the local community shelter. Understood.'

'YES DR.' ( everyone )

'I want everyone at gate no.7, 10 am sharp.'

He left, I walked towards Jess.

"Why your name is under staff not trauma."

' They choose Brian and only one person can go, so I suggest them they might need extra pair of hands, so I am staff for this trip.'

"Hmm. Nice we all can go now."

We have only 25 min left so without wasting time we got ready and ran in the direction of gate no.7 it's the least crowded place so as we reach there everyone was already there, why I am late everywhere.
