Rachelle Lupin had a ritual.

And that ritual in question mainly consisted of Rachelle running around the house to get ready to leave the Lupins' home. For instance, if her comb was in the bathroom but her hair tie in the living room, she would run to the bathroom to retrieve her comb and then run back to the living room to get her hair tie. From there, she would run around the house to the nearest mirror, usually the one in her room or the bathroom.

In conclusion, she had to spend a solid twenty minutes everyday just going around the house getting her things before she was ready to leave.

Today was no exception.

Remus could only watch as his daughter scurried around the house in search of her missing sock. "I find it hard to believe you manage to get ready in less than half an hour at Hogwarts."

"Well, at Hogwarts all my things are either in my trunk or my drawer. There isn't this leave-your-things-wherever-you-want nonsense." Rachelle said, her voice slightly muffled by the fact that she had put her wand between her teeth in order to use both hands to dig through the laundry.

"Technically, you're not supposed to do that at home either." Remus said, flicking his wand and magically summoning her missing sock from the depths of the laundry basket.

Rachelle stared at him, taking her wand out of her mouth and grabbing the floating sock. "And you watched me run around for ten minutes trying to find it when you could've just summoned it, why?"

"Fun."

Rachelle scrunched up her nose in annoyance, causing Remus to laugh. "You're going to be late."
"Yes, yes. I know, you've mentioned that ten different times today."

Rachelle put on her sock and shoes before stuffing her wand in her boot and sliding her bag over her shoulder. "I'm going now." she declared as she scooped up a handful of floo powder. "I love you."

"Love you too. Don't forget to write."

"I won't."

Rachelle sucked in a breath. "The Burrow!" she shouted clearly, throwing the powder down. Green flames engulfed her and when the emerald smoke cleared, Rachelle was gone.

Rachelle arrived at the fireplace of the Burrow coughing, immediately alerting Mrs Weasley of her presence. "Rachelle! Good, you're not late." The women said, brushing off the ash from Rachelle's hair. "The boys are still asleep, and Hermione's in the bathroom." "Thanks Mrs Weasley, I'll go put my stuff down and find her."

Rachelle went up the stairs two at a time, quickly depositing her bag in Ginny's room where all three girls would stay.

Hermione walked in just as Rachelle was about to leave the room, and Hermione gave a little shriek as she saw her friend. The two embraced for a short while, before Hermione pulled away. "You took your own sweet time getting here. We've got to wake up the boys."

"Can we scream in their ears?" Rachelle said excitedly. "As long as we don't wake up anyone else." Hermione grinned.

Hermione grabbed a candle by its holder and brought it into the dark room, the little flame illuminating the room with a warm glow giving them just enough visibility.

The girls noticed within seconds that Harry was shifting around in his sleep, a troubled expression on his face. Forgoing the entire scream-in-their-ears plan, Hermione went up to him and shook him awake, the boy waking up with heavy breaths. He reached for his glasses, hastily shoving them onto his face.
