Ron had to be dragged away from the minister by Rachelle and Hermione. "This is an interesting turn of events," Rachelle mused. "It's always you holding me back."
"Why'd you stop me? Don't you see the axe? This isn't justice!" Ron said angrily.
"Your dad works for the ministry, Ron." Hermione sighed, looking very upset nonetheless
"You can't go saying that to his boss, do you want to get him fired?" Rachelle said. "I want to pull a Hermione and punch him into next week too, but—" Hermione cut in, "As long as Hagrid stays focused and argues his case properly they can't possibly execute Buckbeak."Rachelle couldn't help the frown on her face. She loved Hagrid, but in all honesty, Hagrid would most definitely get too emotional, and Buckbeak wouldn't stand a chance. Even Hermione looked like she didn't believe what she said, and the other three could sense it.
In silence, they walked to their next exams together, Hermione going to her muggle studies classroom and the other three heading for Divination. Rachelle, who had given up on Divination, was fortunately, already free from the exams.
She followed Harry and Ron as they met Neville at the bottom of the spiral staircase to the classroom where he informed them that they would each be seen separately. "Have any of you seen anything in a crystal ball?" he asked as an afterthought.
"Nope." Ron answered, checking his watch.
Rachelle sighed. "Just bullshit your way through, make up some shit.""Like?" Harry prompted.
"I dunno. Maybe Snape dying in a few years time, it's not gonna happen, but that's a bit too drastic... or maybe that my dad will remarry someone. The possibilities are endless really." Rachelle shrugged.
The girl checked her watch. "I've got to go. Good luck!" she said and went off. She walked off in the direction of the Gryffindor common room, but circled around and went to her fathers office instead.
"Hi dad!" Rachelle chimed as she pushed open the door. Remus was lounging on the couch in the corner, eating a chocolate frog. "Hello." mumbled the werewolf.
"Have you taken the potion?"
"Yes. Why else am I eating the chocolate?"
"Because you're addicted to it."
Remus chuckled. "Fair enough.""Where's your friends?"
"Exams. Harry and Ron have Divination, and Hermione has muggle studies."
The two fall into a comfortable silence, Rachelle curled into her fathers side."Tell me about her," Rachelle whispered. "mum." Remus gave her a sad smile. "She was just like you. Smart and witty, and she wouldn't stand to see people being bullied. In fact, she used to hex the Slytherins with a horn growing hex when they mentioned Lily's blood status, and claimed that the horns made them look like who they really were; devils."
Rachelle laughed. "You need to teach me that hex. I can hex Malfoy and his goons when they make fun of Hermione." "You do realize it's my job as your father and professor to not teach you that."
"Yes, but it's your job as a Marauder and mum's husband to teach me to hex so I can defend myself."
Remus shook his head with a smirk. "I'll give you the book she learnt it from."Rachelle smiled in thanks and glanced at the clock on Remus' desk. "Their exam should be done by now. I'll come by tomorrow." said the girl, looking up at her father.
"You know I don't like you to visit so soon after the full moon."
Rachelle hummed in response as she stood up from her seat. "Watch me." she said, and slipped out of the room.Rachelle figured her friends would be in the common room, and made her way there. She was almost at the portrait when she saw a black haired, bespectacled boy running from the opposite direction.
