Utterly surprised, that those words just came out of her mouth and was really taken back at the fact that she appeared out of nowhere all of a sudden when I thought that she was on that date her and that new guy was, I held Noze's arm hooked on mine to keep her still.

She's probably surprised too, having attacked like that out of nowhere, but I can't let her go.

"Stay," I managed to say, Jennie's eyes still connected with mine, refusing to let Noze go. "You're my date, and you aren't allowed to leave until I let you so."

At this, Jennie continued staring at me. I would be lying if I say that staring at her like this, eye to eye, didn't faze me a bit. I was intimidated by Jennie one way or another, that is something I couldn't deny, because she just has that ability to intimidate people – but tonight, I refuse for her to intimidate me, nor Noze at that part.

I have to keep my chin up.

"I'm your date." Jennie stated, her tone as calm as I didn't expect it to be. "I am before she came around." She made a small gesture towards Noze with her perfectly manicured nails, that went along quite well with her red dress.

"I don't see you beside me right now," I told her, unconsciously pulling Noze closer beside me – Jennie's eyes immediately catching this small action.

"I was the one who you asked to come here, I don't recall anything that has got to do with her." She batted, her voice lacing with a familiar tone that for some reason – I felt like I was the only one who knew of it quite well. She was getting worked up. "Y/N." my name fell off her lips, and it has a warning threat to it.

"Excuse me," Noze suddenly cut in, and I can feel her leaning close to me. "First come first serve, I suppose?" she tilted her head – which came a bit mocking in my opinion. Fuck. "And as far as I am concerned, you do have a date at the moment. I don't know why you're stealing mine."

I thought Noze was just picking up on my words, indicating that Jennie already had a date, for the girl in front of us refused to waver for a little bit – my blood boiled when I realize that Noze wasn't just picking up on my words, because there is an evident reason as to why she said those words.

"Jennie," Kai let out as he suddenly appeared out of nowhere as Jennie was – all dressed in the same aesthetic the first time I saw him, all bland looking in his formal academia looking style which just fit the whole I am a Political Science Major vibe. "You should've gone out like that, you should've waited for me to get here,"

So they literally took their time driving all the way here after their date?

"I told you to just go h-"

"Kai," I mentioned, cutting Jennie off from what she was going to say – the guy himself turning to look at me. "Welcome." I smiled a bit, not wanting to be rude even though my existence screamed for me to punch him for some reason. "I didn't know the two of you are coming."

"Jennie insisted," Kai nodded at me, giving me a small bow in return. "I didn't know you'd be here as well."

"That was one of the reasons as to why I was calling earlier," I mentioned, eyes trailing towards Jennie beside her – whose eyes didn't waver away from me, even the tiniest bit. Now I feel like I wanted to punch a wall seeing both of them there, the two of them, here in the gallery. "Have a nice night."

"Y/N-"

"Wang – oh!" just in time when Professor Dy came to the rescue, coming in the right time and cutting Jennie off from what she was about to tell me, I let out a breath. "Oh, Miss Kim. Surprised to see you here huh, I thought you were busy today?" he asked, and I looked away – the question enough for me to not look at Jennie, still not over for the fact that she lied to me.
