𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐍𝐄. | ❛ Can You See Me? ❜
THE LOUD BLARING OF ALARMS IS WHAT WOKE JAMIE UP FROM HER SLUMBER. She heard muffled voices from outside the facility and she wondered if the universe had finally answered her prayers about getting the hell out of here. A tiny hope inside of her wanted it to be her friends rescuing her from this hellhole, but she didn't believe it. They've probably forgotten about her. She was locked inside the experimental room, and it was safe to say she had lost her sanity at this point. The flashbacks and memories from the trials have been repeating in her mind ever since she was captured by HYDRA. The endless tests and toxins they violated into her were something she became numb to, and she wondered if she would come out of it alive.
She thought of Pietro and Wanda. She hasn't seen them for a few weeks and she didn't want to admit it, but she missed them. The twins held a small place in her heart and it was the closest thing to humanity. Otherwise, she would've been long gone. She couldn't handle the pain again, but with them, they brought a sense of tranquility and she surprisingly got along with both of them. A small wave of worry washed over her, thinking about the twins' well-being. Wanda has been struggling with her powers and has been keeping her distance. Pietro was okay most of the time, but she could tell that he wanted to get out of this place.
A loud sound erupting from the building pulled her out of her thoughts. The walls shook, along with everything in the room. Equipment and tools from the glass drawer fell down the floor, creating a crashing sound and she winced at the room getting destroyed by a small firing bomb. She was left untouched, only the door did so much damage along with half of the room.
Jamie was placed on the metal table, her hands strapped. She was not in the best shape to form an escape plan. Her skin was deadly pale and grey veins were appearing on her skin. Scabs and bruises were all over her body, mostly on her face due to fighting back which resulted in her getting beaten in the end. They made her weak, and she couldn't do anything about it. She opened her mouth and tried to let out a scream for help, but her hoarse throat didn't let her and she was struggling.
She shifted her body to the side and looked at the door. The bomb created a huge hole in the door and she could see the workers running around the hallway with stressed looks on their faces. She frowned and hissed in pain, feeling the straps tighten every time she moved.

"Report to your stations immediately. This is not a drill. We are under attack. We are under attack." One of the workers announced into the speaker, making Pietro and Wanda hold hands. They looked around for a familiar brunette with worried gazes.
Pietro looked around the room before giving his sister a knowing look. Wanda protested and shook her head, not wanting to leave Jamie behind, her only friend and someone she grew close with. He sighed but didn't let that get to him. He speeds them out of the facility and into a forest. The coldness washed over them, noticing it was winter.
