"KARL!" Clay yelled as he walked into the bathroom.
Karl jumped turning to his side, toothbrush in his mouth and his glasses messily placed on his face.
"You scared me dick head." Karl whined pushing his shoulder and Clay wheezed.

"It's not funny." Karl says as he quickly finished brushing his teeth and walked out the bathroom.
"I'm sorry" Clay calmed down his laughter and sat down on Karl's bed.

Karl rolled his eyes and got underneath his blankets trying to fall asleep. "K i'm bored" Clay huffed poking Karl in his side. Karl let out an annoyed groan and sitting up.

"Fine what do you wanna do?"

"Wanna go get food with me?"

Karl huffed not wanting to leave his bed. "Pleaseeeeeeee i'll leave you alone." Clay whined tugging on his arm. "Okay i'll go but you owe me." Karl says getting out of bed and going to slide his shoes on.

Clay smiled doing the same and tossing a hoodie over his head. Karl slid off his glasses, his vision automatically going blurry.

He could still see just not as much.

"Wear them, you looked fine." Clay says grabbing his phone and wallet. "Can you see?" He added. "I can see somewhat.." Karl trailed off. "Put the glasses on your face before you run into something." Clay chuckled.

"They make me look nerdy, i'll be fine." Karl says grabbing his phone. Clay shook his head grabbing his glasses and sliding them back on his face.

"Karl, wear them because i'm gonna be the one responsible if you run into a pole." Clay laughed turning him around and pushing him out the door as he locked it behind him.

There wasn't many students out this late, some just coming from afterschool programs or some wanting food as well.

"Thinking, what are you thinking about or who are you thinking about." Clay smiles slightly pulling Karl towards him as he walked.

"I dunno- just wondering if I did all my homework and uh... my sexuality?" Karl looked up meeting with a pool of green eyes.

Clay tilted his head in awe. "Oh Karl.. have you figured it out yet?" Clay says with a sight smile.

Karl shrugged. "It's just a lot.."

"I understand. It took me a while to figure it out as well."

"Yea but.. how did you know what was best for you?"

"I've always found myself acting different around men then I did women. I was attracted to men more." Clay says. "Then I figured it out, boom I'm gay." He added. "Nick helped with a big part of it too."

Karl only nods and looking down at his feet, slightly trailing behind Clay. "Karl. It's nothing to be embarrassed about."

Karl rolled his eyes and caught up with him. Clay smiled sliding Karl's arm out his his pocket and interlocking their hands.

"This is gay, Clay." Karl says. Clay scoffed, "That's the whole point Karl jeez."

Karl shrugged, loving the warmth he gave. They finally made it to the closes diner and Clay opened the door for him. Karl thanked him and walked in.

The two made their way over to a booth and sat down. They opened up the menu and scanned it seeing what they both wanted. "Since we're both here I say we spilt the check." Karl says closing the menu.

"What? hell no i'm paying." Clay said. "I just think it's fair if we just-"

"Karl shh, I got it. I always pay for my dates." Clay cut him off. Karl blushed and turned to his left trying to hide his blush which he wasn't very good at.

The waitress soon walked over with a smile. "Hey, welcome. Can I get you two started with something to drink?" She says. "Can I have a lemonade?" Karl says. "Got it, and for you sir."

"Waters fine."

"Okay and a water... are you guys ready to order?" She asked. "Uhm i'll have the chicken alfredo, please." Clay said. "I'll just get the same thing." Karl says as his leg nervously bounced up and down.

"I'll be out with your food shortly, lovely couple by the way." She smiles then walked away. Karl rolled his eyes and put his head down as Clay laughed.

"This isn't funny she thinks we're a couple." Karl says tilting his head up only showing his eyes. "It's fine." Clay says pulling out his phone.

Karl sighed lifting his head up and resting his head on his hand and he fiddled with a napkin, folding it and then unfolding it. "Look up K." Clay said. Karl did just that and he snapped a picture.

Karl giggled covering his face. Clay smiled as he snapped a few more. Karl shook his head, his cheeks dusted a light red.

"Aww look at this one, you can see your blush." Clay says turning his phone showing Karl the picture he took.

"You're such a dork."

"Here you guys are, enjoy your food." The waitress smiles and sits the food down, along with the drinks.
"Thank you." Karl says as she walked away.

The two began eating, Karl shooting a few glares at his date.

He smiled averting his eyes to the window, it was getting quite dark. The sky was becoming a dark blue and a few stars were visible.

Karl took one last bite of his food and sat his hands in his lap, Clay had done this same.

"Full and tired." Karl groaned pushing his bowl away.

Clay agreed and pulled out his wallet. "Can I pay like half?" Karl asked. Clay shook his head and sat the money on the table.

"What about the tip?"

"No Karl get up and let's go."

Karl huffed standing up and fixing his hair. Clay grabbed his hand and interlocked it and walked out of the diner.

"Sooo... did you enjoy our date?" Clay asked with a smile. Karl giggled and covered his lips with his hoodie. "It was fun, I really enjoyed myself. But please the next time you take me out let me pay."

"Mhmmm, no"

"Mhmmm, no"
