Smoke slowly circled off the dangerous, oh so "life threatening" cigarette tip. My fingers were gently holding the shaft as my eyes wondered the city that never slept.

For a city that never slept, I sure as hell was one of its best citizens.

It was cold out here on the balcony. Not so cold that I had to go back in right away. It was the I'm cold but satisfied-kind of cold. And I liked it.

Funny thing, I was always afraid of heights. But my father bought one of the highest apartment in the whole city. So I just had to get used to it. So now, I would sit out on the balcony, hanging over the fence just to feel something.

Back in the living room, the tv were casting the news as my father had fell asleep on the couch. I could hear some muffled voice spiraling about spider-man. "The most dangerous man out there", according to my dad.

So when my dad started hating so much on that man, I decided to go and look him up. I did some research, but never understood it. Everything he did, it looked like he was trying to help. In every healing, there has to be some damages. But all of the people here seems to disagree.

There wasn't much going on in my life right now, it was in fact so little that I was wondering what that psycho man disguised as a spider looked like under the mask.

I wanted to know his history. Why was he trying to save so many people? Did he have superpowers? Everything was so mysterious that I became curious.

Then, the cold that was once satisfying, actually became unpleasant. So I threw the cigarette of the balcony and walked back into my room.

As I looked myself in the mirror, I grabbed my blond hair and put it in a messy bun. My mascara was smushed at the edge, but I didn't care right now. I was going to the 7/11 further down the street, because I was hungry and we didn't have any food at home right now.

So I grabbed one of my oversized zip hoodies and pulled the hood over my head. My outfit right now was a pair of dark blue, wide jeans, a tight, short black top and a brown, oversized zip hoodie. And oh, we can not forget about my white sneakers.

My dad was pretty paranoid and firm about the rules of going out, so I sneaked out without waking him up.

I grabbed my headphones and let some random arctic monkeys song play as I walked down the dark New York City street.

Then suddenly, I heard a big crash. I took out one earphone and turned around, only to see lots of people running towards my way, they were screaming and crying.

Of course I froze. I had no idea what was happening. "HELP!" I heard plenty of people yell, even scream at the top of their lungs.

Everything happened so fast, and then as I turned around again, I saw a truck racing 200 miles an hour, right towards me. "No not today satan!" I heard a man's voice from a few meters away, then suddenly I was swooped into someone's chest, then I was flying.

As I looked what was happening, I saw who was holding me, swinging in the air, making us both basically fly.

   Spider-man.

"What's happening!" I yelled stressed. "You were about to get smashed like a pancake under that truck, but you're fine now." He spoke.

He had such a friendly voice, which didn't seem to fit the description my father had about him. I was just staring at him, I had no idea if he noticed it. "Let me down!" I said nervously.
