Peter ParkerJust as I had come home from saving people from a sinking ship, I was tired as hell. I took a shower, got dressed in boxers and sweatpants, then sat down in the living room.
And then that horrible thought about Arya being out on a date entered my mind. She was sitting now at l'amore, eating dinner with that probs rich man with a small dick, I knew it.
Something about it made me even madder than ever. And before I knew it, I was dressed in regular clothes and was on my way to l'amore on my own. "You're an idiot." I kept on mumbling to myself while walking there.
And there, at the fanciest table, the most beautiful girl sat across a ugly man. The typical rich, white, ugly man. I could puke.
Then suddenly, we made eye contact and she froze, but tried to play it off as nothing. I walked in, skipped through the line to book a table and walked towards them. "Peter." She said stressed, making the man look up at me.
"Wassup man." I said, shaking his hand.
Then I looked at Arya. "Arya, you look awesome. Like always." I said, making her raise her brows. "Adam, this is Peter, Peter this is Adam." She said, making me and him nod at each other.
"Eh- who is Peter?" He asked confused. Arya gave me a quick look. "He's a friend of mine." She lied, making me chuckle.
Adam nodded. "Well, Arya. I'd hate to disturb your date, but there's been an emergency." I said, making her look at me, trying to decide what to do. Honestly, I thought she would just ignore me.
"Oh no, I guess I have to go then. But thanks for the dinner, Adam. I'll see you later." She said, tossing the napkin at the table as she got up and quickly walked out of the restaurant with me.
Just as we walked out, we looked at each other. My hands were in my pocket as we walked down the street. "It was bad, huh?" I asked.
She groaned, burying her face in her hands, making me laugh. "Argh yes! It was freaking awful! I wanted to leave so bad every second of it! God, dad's gonna kill me." She said.
"Well, just make up a lie that he wouldn't understand. Like, period cramps or something. Yes! You had bad period cramps so you had to go home! Genius!" I said, making her chuckle as she looked at me.
"You're a total idiot for coming here, but I can't be mad at you since you saved me." She said, making me smile.
We walked in silence for awhile. "You had the time to actually eat, right?" I asked just as we walked pass a very cheap and rusty restaurant.
She raised her brows as she looked at me. "I actually didn't." She said. I looked at the old restaurant, then at her. "Well I'm starving." I
said making her chuckle. "Let's go in for a bite, then." She said.We walked in, ordered a hamburger each and sat down by the long table with barstools by the window. "God, why was this hamburger better than the food I ate at that place?" She asked shocked, making me laugh.
"Guess we can't judge...-" I said, looking around for a name sign for this restaurant. "-Rusty's by its look." I said, making us both laugh.
Pretty ironic for a place like this to be named that. We sat and ate, talked and laughed our asses off. I had a really good time. Then, after we had just silenced ourselves after another laugh attack, I looked at her. "You think your father would like me?" I asked.
She raised her brows as she put down her burger, then rubbed her hands with some paper before looking back at me. "Why do you ask?" She asked before drinking some soda.
"Just wondering. I mean, if I didn't come in with the whole suit, then maybe he'd like me. Maybe he's one of those who even think of... me as a superhero, not the bad guy." I said.
She laughed while shaking her head, making me furrow my brows in confusion. "No, oh god. That man does not like... you." She said, raising her brows at me.
"Why?" I asked. "He's a cop, Peter." She said, making my lips part as I stared at her.
It became silent between us, she noticed how shocked I became. "He's been after you for awhile now. All he does, whenever he talks to me, it's always about Spider-Man and how I have to be careful and stay away from him." She said.
My lips rolled into a line as I looked down at the floor. "But if you came and said hi, wearing your usual clothes, like now, and charmed him like you charmed me, then maybe he'd like you." She said, making me look up at her.
"You think so?" I asked.
She chuckled. "Okay maybe you shouldn't charm him in the exact same way. Like, do not call him blondie, he hates the fact that he's getting grey." She said, making us both laugh.
"And don't try to get him home to your apartment by talking about dominance and submissiveness." She said, pointing a finger up which made me laugh even harder.
"You sure are special, Arya Holmes." I said.
She twirled a string of hair jokingly. "Yeah, I get that a lot." She said, making me chuckle.
Then suddenly, outside the windows of the restaurant, we saw how every corner of the street lit up with fire. Max's here.
Arya gasped, and the ones in the kitchen did as well, they started swearing in some other language, I quickly looked around, thank god I have my suit in my pocket.
"Okay, take it easy, take it easy." I said calmly, grabbing her arms, then looked over to the rusty kitchen. "Is there a back way out here?" I yelled out loud.
They nodded, pointing over there. I grabbed her by the hand. "Peter what are you doing?" She asked worriedly. "Come here, you will get out the back way and I'll handle whatever's going on." I said.
The staff all ran out of the back way, and there me and Arya stood. She stared at me, still holding my hand. "Don't get hurt." She said, her voice almost breaking.
A small smile appeared on my lips. "I won't, blondie. This is regular work for me." I said, making her slowly shake her head, she looked scared. "You need to go home." I said.
"No, what if you get hurt?" She asked. I raised my brows as I looked at her, tears were forming in her eyes, I let out a chuckle as I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her into a hug.
She hugged me back, sobbing into my chest. "I won't make it if I don't go now. And you have to go home. I'll come by when it's done." I said.
"You promise?" She asked, looking up at me.
"I promise." I said.
