Golden wrap against my hair,
Painted in the language of adire.
Colorful, fabulous, yet meaningful.
My head-tie is my style.
So, don't treat me like someone in exile.
I could fold it into a cap or roll it in form of a hijab.

Crown made out of wool.
Fabric from my heart's chosen tool.
Attracting to the eyes, identity to the wise.
My turban is my head-tie,
My gele is my style.
Respect it.
