A month later...

" You tryna go get some to eat? " nyzir asked me while we sat in the car

" Yeah I want some Wendy's. " I said passing him the blunt back

" Ight." he said driving toward the nearest Wendy's

Over the past month me and nyzir got pretty close. He's actually real laid back and chill. We often just hot box and then get food.

" I got to go to my hair appointment after this tho. " I said as he pulled into the drive through

" Ok I'll drop you off after this. " he said as he rolled down the window to tell the person our order

" Thank yo- " I said before I got interrupted by my phone ringing  and of course it was benji

" You not going to answer it ? " he asked

" Nah." I shrugged

Me and benji haven't really been talking that much because ever since I left that night.

Every time I would go over to his house within fifteen minutes he would say he's leaving or he has to go do something.

And his whole demeanor and vibe would change so after awhile I just stopped going around him all together.

" What happened between y'all? "  he asked

" Nun I just don't wanna talk to him right now. " I said

" You sure you? Youn wanna talk about it? " he asked looking at me

" I'm good, it's nothing to talk about " I said getting aggregated

I really didn't want to tell him because that's nun of his business what me and benji go through.

" Ok- thank you. " he said as he gave the cashier the money and grabbed our food and handed me mines

" How you want your hair today? " Melonie asked me as she parted my hair

" Let's do jumbo size knotless braids today. " I replied as a played bitlife on my phone

" So how you been lately? " she asked

" Busy because of midterms and all that other school stuff but after this last one I'll be officially on break. " I stated

" Girl you're a good one cause I couldn't do it, all the deadlines and work I just couldn't " she sighed

" I just said this to much and plus I was already braiding hair so I just went to trade school and got my license. " she shrugged

" Are you glade you did it? " I asked

" Girl yes, I started getting clients left and right and now I'm about to open my own shop. " she said happily

" That's good girl, and that's on being your own boss " I said swiping underneath my chin

" Kapri is that you? " I herd my mom yell from the kitchen

" Yeah moma it's me. " I said sitting down at the bar in the kitchen

" I like your hair, you just got it done? " she asked as she put the macaroni in the oven

" Yeah, but what you cooking? " I asked

" Pork chops, macaroni and string beans. " she replied as she washed her hands

" Ok ma do your thing then. " I laughed

" But how you doing with school? " she asked

" I'm doing pretty good I passed my first two midterms so I'm pretty happy about that. " I sighed

" Ok that's good, we'll I'm sleepy so ima take a lil nap. " she yawned

" Ok moma love you. " I said

" Love you more baby." she said walking down the hall to her room

I went into my bathroom and took a nice long shower while listening to music after I got out I dried off and lotion my skin down.

I walked into my room and got into my bed and put my led lights on blue and scrolled through instagram and seen a girl posted on benji's story.

I closed out instagram and went to my messages just to be called by nyzir.

" What you up too lil girl? " he asked looking up from the game

" Nothing really, and I'm not even little. " I yawned

" You 5'0 so sit down somewhere. " he laughed

" I see you got jokes tonight, but it's cool tho. " I shrugged

" But for real tho you tryna chill tomorrow? " he asked

" Yeah I wanna go to the mall anyway. " I replied

" Bet " he said
