Turning around, Damian saw a Butterfly enter his window. It was black with purple lining all over it, while the creature glowed a purple hue. Damian quickly stood, upon seeing Dekku's fear. 'Is that an Akuma?' Damian warily thought, attempting to grab his katana. The Akuma flew closer, unbothered by the blade Damian tightly held. Damian drew back, ready to swing at the negative creature. 'Fwoosh' 'Pop' 'Crack' Pausing, Damian saw white fire engulf the Akuma, revealing a pure white Butterfly, instead. Dekku was panting as the Butterfly flew out, the window remaining open. Quickly, Damian closed the window, locking it shut afterward. Leaning on the window, Damian took a deep breath, looking around. "Fuck." Was all the boy could mutter, watching as Dekku collapsed. 'Shit!' Running, Damian caught the Kwami in time, seeing the small creature's tired expression. "Dekku, are you alright?" Damian cautiously asked, seeing his Kwami's gentle smile. "I'm alright, but that took a lot of energy to do..." Dekku softly spoke, gingerly caressing Damian's hand in reassurance. Damian sighed, holding Dekku close. 'Thank God...' 'How did the Akuma find me, though?' 'I'm always careful!' 'I didn't know Dekku could do that, either...' Damian continuously thought, finally steadying his breathing. Looking down, Damian watched as Dekku burrowed himself in the teen's hands, purring soon after. Damian huffed as the Kwami seemed comfortable in the - now stable - situation. 'Well, okay...' Damian coolly thought as his worries before began boiling back up. 'Why didn't he tell me he could do that...?' Damian slowly thought, sitting back on his bed. Petting Dekku, Damian hummed, taking a deep breath. 'I know I dropped it, but I need my answers.' Damian crossly thought, seeing Dekku shift. Sitting up, Dekku took a deep breath, shakily sighing after. Looking up, Dekku's eyes bared a dark aura to them, something Damian rarely saw. "Damian, I think it is time I tell you everything..." Dekku warily spoke, usually not using the teen's first name. Damian nodded, finally getting his answers.
Dekku sat still for a moment, seemingly trying to find the words to his long awaited explanation. Nevertheless, Damian remained quiet, knowing Dekku's personality. 'Knowing you, it can't be good...' Damian composedly thought, watching as Dekku took a deep breath. Sighing again, Dekku tiredly rubbed his temple, finally looking back to his friend. "It all started in my Past Life..." Dekku softly began, watching Damian tilt his head. 'Past Life...?' 'He wasn't born a Kwami, originally?' Damian quizzically thought before sitting straight, letting the Kwami talk. Dekku hummed before gingerly rubbing his cheek. "I was born in a world where 80% of the Human Population had superpowers known as "Quirks". The 20% were deemed Quirkless, or born without powers..." Dekku unhurriedly stated, a dark aura growing in the dimly lit room. Damian held the Kwami close, not wanting another Akuma attack to rise. Dekku nuzzled the teen, using his fluff as a destresser. Damian hummed, feeling the soft fur rub against his chest, making Dekku smile. "With that, came many Heroes and Villains, each growing more unique Quirks through the generations. When I was four, I was 'deemed' Quirkless, not knowing the doctor had lied. However - seeing how the 20% of people didn't have powers - it didn't make growing up any easier..." Dekku roughly stated, his voice barely cracking. Damian pet his friend, slowly calming the creature. Dekku smiled again, his aura lighting slowly, yet soothingly. "Then - when I was fourteen - I met the Number One Pro Hero of Japan; All Might!" Dekku's eyes glimmered with excitement, making Damian smirk with a brow raised. "At first, he told me it was too dangerous for a Quirkless person to be a Hero, seeing how so many Villains had Quirks, too. That did not stop me - however - from proving to him that I can be a Hero. Shortly after ten months of training with him, All Might gave me his Quirk; One for All!" Dekku proudly stated, small green static showering from the Kwami. Damian nodded, seeing the colors slowly dim. Dekku floated up, but not too far, seemingly trying to balance his energy. "I managed to get into the most embellished hero school of Japan; U.A! I finally had friends, a Quirk, and a chance to enact on my dream of being a Hero. But, that didn't come without a cost..." Dekku slowly cooed, floating back down. Damian kept a brow raised, though he no longer bared his rare smirk from ealier. Dekku bit his lip before shaking his head, seemingly trying to clear his mind. Sighing, Dekku held his head, rubbing gentle circles onto it. "Since I was the Nineth Wielder of One for All, a villainous group named the, 'League of Villains' came after my school and I. They wanted the Quirk so their Master - All for One - could rule over our World of Quirks. Thankfully, he never got the chance." Dekku callously stated, his fur ruffling ever so slightly. Damian simply nodded, observing his friend's behavior. 'Where did One for All come from?' 'Was All for One its' creator?' 'Somehow, that wouldn't surprise me...' Damian calculatedly thought, only to hear Dekku huff. Dekku crossed his arms, a small pout soon forming. "To answer your internal questions, Master," Dekku began, his pout barely playful in the current circumstances. Damian rolled his eyes before listening to his Kwami once more. "Yes, All for One was the creator of One for All. Back when Quirks first began, All for One and his Brother were normal kids, born without Quirks. Superheroes and Villains were fictional, until the first Quirk Wielder was - seemingly - a glowing infant. Soon after, Quirks came at an alarmingly fast rate. When All for One got his, he realized he could take others' Quirks, either using them for himself or handing them out. His Brother - on the other hand - didn't show any signs of manifesting." Dekku coolly stated, rubbing his fins together, now. Damian took a deep breath, setting Dekku on his pillow. 'So, we were fictional to his world...' Damian noted, calmly sighing soon after. "So, I take it All for One gave his Brother a Quirk? Why didn't the Brother get one?" Damian carefully asked, watching as Dekku gingerly rubbed his tired eyes. 'Same, but I want answers.' Damian stubbornly thought, not bothering to avert his eyes from the creature. Dekku yawned before fluffing up, holding his arms.
