'Tap' 'Tap' 'Tap' 'Thud' "Hurry, Damian!" I hear my Mother call out as we ran through the slowly burning halls. "What of Grandfather?!" I shout back, trying to look around. The once soft brown walls had turned to a burnt, bloodied mess, just barely standing up with the beams. The floors were close to the same, but there was no sign of him. "We'll meet him soon!" My Mother yelled back as we ran outside. All I could hear were explosions, screaming, and fighting. Blood ran all over the place, some still on the soldiers around us. 'How did this happen...?' I numbly thought, trying to keep my composure. Obviously, there was a traitor; I already knew that. Yet, no one thought much of my words, because nothing like that happened before. 'I just wanted them to listen...' "Talia!" I look forward, finally seeing my Grandfather. He still wore his armor, though it was almost completely drenched in Blood. Thankfully, I didn't see a scratch on him, yet. We stopped before him, quickly catching our breath. "Grandfather, we need to go!" I exclaimed, but he gave me a somber look. Kneeling down, Grandfather grabbed my hand before placing a small object there. When I looked, I saw what looked to be a black choker, the Deep Green orb almost glimmering away from the fight. 'Odd...' Looking back up, my Grandfather stood, holding my shoulder with a light squeeze. "I will buy you and your Mother enough time to leave, but make it quick." I didn't believe it; I couldn't believe it. My Grandfather was sacrificing himself for us. Holding back a growl, I tried to stay still, but I still shook. "We can't leave you! The League-" "Damian Al Ghul Wayne!" I stopped, hearing my Grandfather's booming voice. He sighed before handing me to my Mother, pushing us both away from the fight inside. "Do not fall in the same Fate as me!" Ra's Al Ghul ran off, causing my Mother to drag me to the helicopter. "GRANDFATHER!" I bellowed, feeling my heart pound harder. My Mother set me down as we flew, her breathing heavy and harsh. I could only look down, watching the battle wage on without me. 'He needs me...' 'I need to fight!' I looked to my Mother, whose Breathing had finally calmed. I glared, trying to contain my rush of anger. "Mother, we need to go back! Grandfather needs us!" I watched her slowly look up, her Forest Green orbs baring anger and pain, which was something I rarely saw. "We can't, Damian! You heard him, we shouldn't fall in the same Fate as him! You're too young!" My Mother harshly spoke, her glare barely narrowing. I looked back, feeling my fists clench. "Grandfather..." I whisper as my eyes start to burn. 'Sigh' I felt an arm wrap around me, feeling a sense of warmth. I looked up, seeing my Mother's darkened orbs look back. "Damian, your Grandfather knows what's best. We have to let him do this..." My Mother's voice softly spoke, making me look away. 'Sigh' 'I'll get my revenge...' I thought as I eventually saw the flames grow brighter.

Two Weeks Later~

Damian sighed, sitting upside down on the couch before looking at the ceiling. The ceiling of the boat looked red, though that was from the lighting, this time. There was a small window next to the couch, showing the beautifully bright Moon shine with the stars following in the darkened sky. 'Grandfather...' Damian numbly thought, still holding onto his last gift. The orb seemed to glow when the boy felt negative, but always gave a warmer feeling, afterwards. Damian couldn't quite place why - nor how - but, at least his gift didn't upset him, further. 'Tap' 'Tap' 'Tap' Sitting up, Damian saw his Mother in the doorway, her long, Crimson dress almost flowing to unknown winds. They stared in silence, both having their own mental battles from weeks prior. The gift started to warm up again, causing Damian to hold it to his chest. Seeing this, Talia only slowly nodded before walking back to the main room of the small boat. 'Here we go...' Damian thought, standing from his seat with a sigh. 'This better be right...' Damian bitterly thought, already knowing how his Mother's manipulative ways could sprial in her own web of lies, yet somehow staying strong in the following chaos. Walking to the doorway, he could hear voices, neither sounding quieter. "There is someone you must meet. He was so excited to meet you." Not a second later, the sheet before Damian moved, the boy walking before a tall Male. Stopping, he looked at the disguised man, noting the Batty appearance. The man gave an emotionless stare before speaking with Damian's Mother once more. "I assure you; He is 100% yours." Damian rose a brow, watching as his Father crossed his arms. "Don't worry, Father; I thought you'd be taller." Damian coolly stated, watching his Father's eyes narrow for a split second. Looking to the Mother, Batman's eyes narrowed again before the three walked out. 'He's weird.' Damian thought, feeling his Mother lightly nudge him. Turning, Damian saw his Mother kneel down, gently hugging said boy. "Be good for your Father; He can only keep you safe for so long." Talia wisely stated, slowly releasing her Son. Damian nodded, facing his Father. Talia stood, returning to the boat normal-looking boat. Turning one last time, Talia nodded before the boat left. Damian and Batman watched her leave leave in the Moonlight, neither muttering a another word, until she was out of sight. "... I'll drive." "No." "I know how!" "I said no!" With that, the two got in the Batmobile and left.
