It's Not A Miraculous Dream

Their Happiest Beginning

  A light humming was soothingly heard, giving the kitchen's sizzle a run for it's money. Spice after spice was added to the forming ingredients, turning the mixture in the pot to a different color entirely. Marinette grabbed the silicone spoon, gently stirring the product together. 'I can't wait to try this.' Marinette calmly thought, softly sighing in the - mostly - quiet room. Suddenly, tan arms slung around her waist, gently hugging the girl from behind. Marinette sweetly giggled, only facing the owner of such warmth. "Hello, Aimer~ how was the meeting? Did everyone get along without me?" Marinette softly asked, gently nuzzling the Male's calming features. Damian coolly smirked, carefully cuddling his 'lilha, whose smile brightly shown in the warm kitchen. "Yes - 'lilha - everyone got along. Though, I did have to keep a closer eye on Beast Boy and Carapace; They'd rather have a dance off than anything else we were doing." Damian reassuringly spoke, while gently caressing his Lover. Marinette calmly giggled before the two kissed, though it was short and sweet. Marinette went back to the food, upon hearing the pot boil. Damian looked down, a narrow brow raised. "What are you making? Did Dekku give you food advice again?" Damian playfully mused, hearing his Love giggle once more. Marinette nuzzled him from behind, keeping her eyes on the slowly boiling pot. "Why, yes he did. I was thinking of what to make, when he suggested Oden (*A tasty Japanese hot pot dish*). We found the ingredients here, so we decided to have it for dinner." Marinette happily replied, remembering the cute feature on the Kwami from the Comms call, earlier. Damian softly hummed, snuggling into the crook of the girl's neck, feeling his breath hit her neck back to him. "Well, that sounds nice. Although, are we sure they can have some? I don't know what I'd do if something went wrong..." Damian carefully asked, wrapping his arms more protectively around her waist. Marinette understandably hummed, gingerly rubbing his hands over her stomach. "Don't worry, Aimer; I am sure they will be alright with this dish. Dekku put a lot of thought into this one." Marinette reassuringly mentioned, looking down to her expecting belly. By now, she was only five months in, but - boy - did it show. Damian took a deep breath, gently sighing into her smooth neck. "I know, I know. But, I still worry for yours and the baby's safety. Aside from our other Family members, you're all I really have left... I don't want to-" Damian stopped, upon feeling something warm touch his hoarse lips. Marinette cupped his cheeks, gently burrowing into his body as they kissed. Damian held her even closer, without hurting their child.

  In the distance, soft little giggles were heard, though completely unbeknownst to the couple. The Kwamis huddled together, quietly watching their Great Guardians' sweet moment in the kitchen. Some giggled and some were trying to listen in on the couple, but a certain bat wasn't interested in that. Dekku silently watched his Great Guardians, a small smile on his face. Watching this scene gave him different emotions, none more prominent than pride and joy. 'They seem so happy now...' 'I'm glad I made my decision all those years ago...' Dekku gingerly thought, gently holding his fins together. 'I bet Papa would have been proud - too - if they were me...' Dekku sweetly thought, feeling something wet hit his cheek. He knew what it was, but didn't bother to hide, nor remove it. Dekku's smile grew slightly, watching his Family slowly grow bigger than before. 'I know you're proud of me, Papa.'
