We are now seated in the cafe and I am VERY NERVOUS but idk it's somewhat awkward but ughhh...
Mr. Kim: I will cut to the chase. You were not in the intern list... But you actually are accepted to the company...
Me: *eyes widened* Really, Mr. Kim? I-I--I- Thank you so much.
Mr. Kim: But... About your spot in the company would be a bit complicated.
Me: If I may ask, what would that mean?
Mr. Kim: Well, my secretary, Miss Bahn will supervise you... You would enter not as an intern, but as a prodigy... You will be working as a staff for the first year and start working as the company's translator. Which means, you'll involve in any activities that requires many foreign countries. That's why we'd recruit you as our prodigy. This contract also states that you can't let other people know about it and others in the company would only know you as a staff.
Miss Bahn: You can read the contract thoroughly first.
-After reading the contract-
Mr. Kim: What do you say?
Me: Of course I'll sign. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity for me. I'll do my best to not let you down.
Miss Bahn: Alright, you'll start next week Monday, same like the interns. I look forward to working with you.
Me: Oh yes me too, please take good care of me.
I then bow and see them off.
Mr. Jang and the other employees: CONGRATULATIONS Y/N!!!!
Me: Aigoo You're too kind. THANKSSSS THAT WAS SO NERVE-WRECKING!!!
I am sooooo happy that I was able to get the job because I've planned all this for my life and like, I feel like I succeed. I called all my close family and friends about it and they were so happy for me as well.
Anyhow, I still have to go to work at the cafe for two more days before it's the weekend so let's not get too ahead of it... Let's do this!!
-The Next Day-
At the cafe, it's really empty like people really didn't come because of that rude, scamming "iNFlUencEr". I know this could greatly impact on the business if it happens for long because this cafe requires really expensive stuff for our food and drinks and we've got a lot of customers because of our fresh ingredients... At this point, if it lasts for a week, the salary of the employees are gonna be affected.
I really don't have a heart to leave the cafe in this situation. I have to do something... But there's quite nothing I can do.. If I go out there and promote, others wouldn't believe and say we're just a try hard after we got "exposed". UGH! I hate people like that..
*Door opening sound* Finally, a customer.
Employees: Welcome!
AND GUESS WHAT? IT'S LITERALLY IVE !
My colleague took their order and I was in charge of preparing their food so I just do my job but I'm still in shock that they came HERE despite all the things said about the cafe.
Me: Here's your order. Thank you so much for coming despite all the rumors going around.
IVE and their manager: Thank you for the food.
I then have a conversation with the others.
Me: Yahhh isn't it crazy?
Mr. Jang: Tell me about it... I was MINDBLOWN. They just come in like angels and ordering. Did they not know the rumors?
Da-ni: I doubt it. They would've known by the way we had no customers and the way people were shocked that they came in.
Sol-i: I know rightt... I locked the door quickly just now. Good thing they were too shocked to behave like a sasaeng. I doubt with those looks they don't know.
Me: It could be because they were here before for the gathering and our cafe is four doorsteps away from their company building. They saw it's empty and wants to come for some drinks together, I guess... Let's just thank god.
After the conversation, we went back to our spots and after a while, members of IVE also needs to go. They came to the counter for payments.
Me: Would you like to use card or cash?
Manager: Card, please.
Me: Wave or pin?
Manager: Wave.
Me: Alright, you can place your card now... Okay, here's the receipt. Thank you! *bow*
They then got out of the cafe and after a few minutes, we literally got a full house. It's mostly like that in Korea. Rumors can spread like wildfire. But this is perfectly fixed now.
Da-ni: Hey guys look at this! IVE posted about our cafe and back us up! I see the reason why we suddenly got customers back! Y/n when you get to work, please relay our thank.
Me: Well, they don't know me so it might not be possible but I can leave your prizes at their manager for a 'thank you'. Work work work!! Let's go! We're busy!
I got a good night sleep tonight knowing that the cafe is back at it again.
-Time Skip: Monday-
Here we goo!! First day of work... I'm so excited yet so nervous but as usual you know I just go crazy basically. Well they say the first impressions are everything so I prepared everything early. This is my outfit for my first day :
