--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Take me back to the days when there was magic in the world,
When fairies and mermaids and dragons would dance in my head,
Because now I see demons there in their stead.
Take me back to the days where we had pancakes for breakfast
On white porcelain platters,
And home cooked meals for dinner where we'd discuss the days matters.
Take me back to the days when we were all together.
When Mom and Dad were happy,
And I still knew my brothers favorite color.
Take me back to the days when it was nursery rhymes and leapfrog
When we all played tag in the field behind the fence,
When my heart still had innocence.
Take me back to the days when we weren't torn apart.
Take me back to the days so we can restart.
Take me back to the days before I was shown who I had to be to survive
Give me back who I was before I became so jaded.
Take me back to those days,
So I will no longer be
Just a broken memory
Of the person I will never again be.
