——————————————————————————— He takes away my distress, He takes away my pain, He takes away the everyday strain Of the negative thoughts Inside my brain.
In a world that makes me Want to end myself, He makes me feel more alive Than anyone else.
And even though we both Have painful pasts, I hope we have a love That lasts.
When we are together I feel light as a feather Like I'm finally walking through Fresh air, Not a dark And stormy weather.
Before him every breath Was agony, Every thought a war. Until I couldn't even Survive anymore.
But now he's here A person who I trust. He makes me feel What I couldn't feel before. He makes me feel like I'm more Than the spiteful words I've heard That's made my heart so sore.
He's a person who understands What I've been through Because he's seen it too. He's a person who feels like Someone I already knew.
So someday I hope I can find a way To show him how grateful I am To have him Than just a simple Thank you.
