Don't trust, never trust
They'll only grind you down to dust.
Water your heart with sorrow filled tears
Distorting and blistering
These painful years.
Don't trust how they say
They'll always stay.
Make your own decision and be the one who walks away.
Hold your heart in your hand
And let it bleed
Hopefully someday you'll be able to breathe.
The clenching fists of betrayal
Only adds to the pain
These tears I'm shedding
Are hidden by the rain.
So don't trust the ones who spew pretty words
Don't trust when they give you everything
And nothing
It's a risk you can't afford.
Isolation and loneliness is better than the pain
Of loving someone
Who leaves you tainted
And stained
By the darkness
They've inflicted
On your soul.
It will forever remain.
