Sunghoon was whimpering. He was so scared right now.
The storm still hasn't stopped yet, and the lightning was just the worst.
Here's a secret: Sunghoon had a fear of lightning, but nobody knew that. Nobody had to know that. He's 19 now, he shouldn't be scared of lightning. The maknaes weren't afraid of lightning. Hell, Riki, the youngest, probably doesn't fear anything!
Another lightning came, and Sunghoon muffled his cries, praying that no one heard him.
"Sunghoon-hyung?" Someone asked, voice deep and laced with sleepiness. Sunghoon recognized that deep voice. Riki. Great, it was the maknae who would find out first. Sunghoon feels so ashamed right now.
"Hyung?" Riki asked. He sounds more awake now.
"I-I'm okay, Riki-ah. G-Go back to s-sleep." Sunghoon managed out as he cursed his stuttering and pulled his blanket on top of his whole body.
Instead of the sound of Riki plopping back on his bed, Sunghoon suddenly felt a weight on his bed. God, he forgot how persistent Riki can be sometimes.
"Hyung, are you okay?" Riki asked. Sunghoon bit his lip as he waited until Riki gave up and went back to sleep.
"Baby..." Riki says. Sunghoon whimpered. He loved the nicknames Riki gave him. They were practically considered his kryptonite.
"Baby, can I see you?" Riki asked.
Sunghoon, knowing that Riki would rip the blanket if he did it himself, slowly and hesitantly removed the blanket.
Riki took a good look at him. His eyes were red and puffy, his cheeks were tear-stained, and his lips were red from all the biting he did to hide his noises. He was still pretty, though.
"Oh, honey..." Riki murmured, pulling the older on his lap. "What happened? Did you have a nightmare?"
"N-No, I'm-" Suddenly, another loud boom lightning was heard. Sunghoon squeaked as he hid his face in Riki's neck. It didn't take long for Riki to put two and two together.
"Darling..." Riki began slowly. "Are you scared of lightning?"
Sunghoon reached his breaking point. He threw his arms around the younger and sobbed quietly. Riki was confused for a second before he stroked the older's silver locks.
"Shh... you're okay. You're alright. Just let it all out, little one." Riki says, kissing Sunghoon's head.
"I-I'm sorry." Sunghoon said once he calmed down. His voice grew hoarse from all the crying he did.
"Don't be sorry, little one." Riki says, kissing his forehead. "It's okay. We all have fears."
"W-What?" Sunghoon asks, confused. "Y-You have fears, too?"
"Of course. I'm still human, hyung."
"W-What's your fear?"
"My fear is something bad might happen to you." Riki admitted.
"R-Really? Why?"
"I love you."
Sunghoon's eyes become teary again. Riki wiped one of the older's tear-stained cheeks. He then gently pulled his face close to his for kiss. Sunghoon slowly placed his hands on the younger's shoulders. Riki pulled away, chuckling as Sunghoon whined cutely.
"Feeling better yet, darling?" Riki asked, brushing the older's long bangs out of his face.
"Yeah." Sunghoon mumbled. "I love you, too."
"You're very pretty." Riki blurts out randomly, a dopey grin on his face that only Sunghoon gets to see.
"I look like a mess, Riki."
"Still pretty, little one."
"Riki-" Sunghoon was interrupted by the shower of kisses the younger was placing on his face. He tried to wiggle away, but Riki was much stronger.
"Thank you." Sunghoon says once Riki stopped his antics, playing with Riki's black hair. "I love you."
The Japanese boy smiled. "Love you too, honey."
As a consequence for being fast it's short
