Adonis's Pov
"Mama I understand-"
"No, you don't understand. If Zara isn't there then you won't either. Send my love to Elias." Then she hung up. Ever since she met Zara she has wanted to see her everyday.
Now she's going to uninvite me from Christmas Eve dinner if I don't bring her. Elias is with his Uncle, Mateo. The second command of the mafia. He is my youngest brother, he is always busy so he hasn't had much time with Eli. So Eli had a sleepover at mama's house.
I stormed out of the house ignoring all the guards. I was dressed in a black suit and shoes. I had my phone in my hand while speeding through the gates and out of the compound.
I couldn't help but swear under my breath. I barely got any sleep last night and knew Zara would catch an attitude with me like she always does.

I sped down her neighborhood then I spotted her. She was wrapped in a huge black coat, she looked like she was fighting against the wind. A frown framed her face and she looked deep in thought.
I honked and her frown deepened. Would she turn around? She only walked faster. I stormed out of the car and walked over to her. I grabbed her arm and she turned with a glare.
Her face seemed to brighten my mood even though she was angry. "What!"
Something took over me and I couldn't help but hug her.
I decided to let her drive. I knew it would make her happy and she just always looked sad or angry. Her face broke out into a smile and I knew I would do anything to see it again. The moment I saw it, it also disappeared. She looked at me as if I would change my mind.
But she seriously needs lessons. I tried to take control of the wheel a few times but she would smack me and tell me to and I quote "enjoy the ride wuss."

I just arrived home and just sighed.
I had this huge house for just me and Elias but my heart wanted something more. I walked up to my bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw I was still smiling from my encounter with Zara.
Everything and her was amazing, she doesn't judge me for having a kid so early. A single parent too. She was so understanding and I loved that about her.
I hopped in shower and washed my body. My muscles were sore and the cold water was not helping me. But a certain person made cold showers my new routine.
I wrapped my towel around my body and walked into my closet. I wore a dark green sweater and some new dress pants I had bought earlier this week. Zara had told me that she had liked how green brings out my eyes, so I hoped she would notice it.
