Adonis's POV
Today I have court to file for full custody over Elias and make Zara his other guardian.
Zara couldn't come with me as she went to visit her sister's grave. She had been going through a rough patch and I told her to have a free day.
Elias is staying with mama, so it was just me. Zara created a statement to tell the judge, they needed proper reason to make her his guardian.
It didn't last very long, seeing as Ashley didn't even show up.
Unbelievable
She couldn't care less and it made my blood boil. Eli always wondered why Ashley never cared about him. He would cry endlessly, and I was the one there to hold him. But now he had Zara, he always would.
Leaving the court I pulled out my phone and clicked on Zara's contact. She picked up the phone after a few rings.
"Hey ...baby," She was out of breath, she probably ran to grab her phone. "Sorry I had to run to get my phone, I left it in the kitchen."

"Hey Belleza, I missed you."
"Oh I like that name and I missed you too. I went to see Eli earlier, but how was the court?"
"She didn't even show up." I heard her gasp.
"That bitch, she better not ever cross my path."
"Agreed, I'm going to the store, do you want anything?" I heard her plop on the bed and soon the camera was adjusted so I could see her upper body.
"Yeah, we need a lot of food, especially since you eat like a horse." She started to laugh but it soon died down when she saw my stern face.
"Don't make me punish you." I smirked. We just recently started sharing dirty jokes with each other. I could see the blush on her face, telling me she liked what I said.
"Oh shut it Adonis, maybe I'll punish you."
"I bet."
"Just go buy the groceries, It's black history month don't forget."
"Oh I didn't, I treat you-"
She hung up.

"Belleza!" I called as I stepped into the house. It had been a long day, and I needed to see my baby. However, I didn't get a response. Maybe she's in the shower, I thought to myself. I walked up the stairs to our room, and stopped short when I heard.. Sounds coming out from behind the door. At first I panicked. Was she hurt? But when I pressed my ear up against the door and listened harder it sounded like my Belleza was... moaning?
