Jo's POV

Today's our date night.
The one night every two weeks that Hero takes me out for dinner. Or a movie. Or he even cooks for me sometimes or we just cuddle together. It's one of those days that I just can't wait for.We haven't done our last two date nights though. The first time he said he had to work, which I was okay with. Work is more important than date night.
The second time though, he went to work on his sister's car. The car he should have been fixed a long time ago. He said he had to do it and ended up forgetting about the date.
I'm not really mad at him because he can be very forgetful, but he does owe me this date. He has a reservation for one of the best restaurants in town, L'Artusi . Of course I disagreed a little with him on that because it's a very expensive restaurant, but honestly I've always wanted to go there. But I love fast food than expensive restaurants. Still Hero didn't listen and intended to go there which I couldn't say no to because he gave me his infamous puppy eyes which I'm a sucker for. I plan on wearing one of my black dress. I can't wait to get off work so I can get ready. Hero is going to meet me there, because he gets off work later than I do. That and driving our own cars keeps us from drinking too much, and I don't want to deal with a drunk Hero.

*Leaving for the restaurant*

I quickly wrap up what I'm doing and head to the car.
Do you know how sometimes you are so excited for something and you just have to squeal or scream or just let it out some how? Yeah well I just got that, and it's telling me that this date is long overdue. I make it home and quickly throw on my clothes and makeup and get out the door faster than I came in. The drive to the restaurant seems a lot faster than it was. When I get in the building I'm immediately greeted by the hostess.
"Hello ma'am. How may I help you today?" She smiles at me. She seems sweet and polite.
"Hi. My boyfriend made a reservation. It's under Hero Fiennes Tiffin ." I smile back at her.
"Right this way. Your waitress is Rita and she'll be with you shortly." She led me to a table right under the chandelier.
There are candles placed on the table surrounding a small boutique of sunflowers. My favorite flowers. Soon a waitress, who I'm assuming is Rita, walked up to my table.

"Hello, my name is Rita and I'm your waitress for today. Your husband pre-ordered a bottle of red wine to come out to you today and he also ordered these flowers for you. He said they were your favorite." She says with a polite smile as she sets the bottle of wine down after opening it. This makes me smile even more. He really is trying so hard to make it up to me, even though I already forgave him for the other times.

"Do you want to order anything else right now?" She asks.

"No thank you, this is good. I'll wait to order for when he gets here." I say and she smiles and walks away. I pour a little wine in my cup. I really do love him.

*30 mins later*

It's been about 30 minutes and he still hasn't made it. That makes me a little nervous. Hopefully he's just stuck at work and nothing happened to him. I can't even call him to find out because I was so focused on this date, I stupidly forgot to charge my phone.So all I can really do is wait. I'm only on my second glass of wine. I don't want to drink too much, but it's really hard to resist when you're just waiting. I saw the waitress pass by a couple of times and she checked up on me. I really hope he gets here soon, I don't want to end up looking like a fool.

* 1 hour later*

It's officially been an hour and a half and I'm officially super embarrassed. The waitress has come over at least four times to ask if I was ready to order, and even offered another bottle of wine. I'm not even done with the first one yet. I can see her making her way to the table again.
