Volume 1 Chapter 4 - The Shining Beacon

Arctic'c Point of View

The Vale Airship landed at Beacon Academy, and the students disembarked in excitement. Jaune Arc was seen emptying his stomach at a nearby bin, while Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long, accompanied by their big brother, Arctic Rose, gazed in awe at the magnificent academy before them.

"Wow, this place is amazing!" Ruby exclaimed as she took in the view.

"I know, right? We get to learn how to be Huntresses and fight monsters!" Yang replied with excitement.

Arctic chuckled at his younger siblings' enthusiasm. "Let's get going then. We don't want to be late for orientation."

As they walked, Ruby expressed her reluctance to meet new people, preferring instead to see new weapons. Yang encouraged her to make friends, and Arctic assured her that they would always be there for her.

Suddenly, Weiss Schnee's luggage caught Ruby's attention, and she accidentally fell on top of it. Weiss scolded her for her reckless behavior, but Arctic defended her and explained that it was an accident.

Weiss checked her suitcase, and a vial of red Dust fell out, leaking onto the ground. As she scolded Ruby and accused her of being too young to attend Beacon, she shook the Dust vial, causing Ruby to sneeze and triggering an explosion of fire, ice, and lightning. Arctic stepped in to defend Weiss from Ruby's accidental explosion.

Blake Belladonna approached the group and explained that Weiss was the heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, which had a questionable reputation. Weiss stormed off in anger, and Ruby promised to make it up to her.

Alone again, Ruby was approached by Jaune, whom she identified as "Vomit Boy." The trio walked around campus, discussing their weapons and getting lost.

"We should have paid more attention to where we were going," Jaune said, laughing nervously.

Ruby showed off her scythe, which she had designed and built herself, and Jaune revealed his family's heirloom, Crocea Mors. Arctic also showed off his weapon, Dragonblade, which he had designed himself, although he admitted that it was actually a gift from their mother.

As they continued walking, they realized they were lost and had to ask for directions. But despite their awkward start, the trio seemed to be forming a bond, and they were excited to start their journey as Huntresses-in-training at Beacon Academy.
