The next day you abruptly wake up sitting up. "Was it all a dream?" You asked yourself looking around.

You looked around your room.

"Wait a sec." You got up and looked around and under your bed. You looked at every book on your shelf. "Where's the book Sofie gave me?" You said a wave of panic setting in.

...

You ran down the streets of Encanto avoiding people along as you ran. You finally made it to the Madrigals Casita. The doors were closed.

You stopped, brushing yourself off and you cleared your throat politely knocking on the door.

You took a step back fixing yourself up.
There was no response.

You knocked again, this time impatiently rocking towards and back on the heels of your feet. You look around and you begin to hum to yourself.

You went to knock on the door again until the door swung open and the ground moved to bring you inside. The door hitting you on the way in. The floor shoved you inside as you blankly stared at the floor looking back up at the door. Tiles above the door frame flapped over and at random places.
You felt as if you provoked the door.

"Um..." You stood up straight looking at the door, You remembered when Camilo brought you here, he called the house a name. You didn't remember what, had to do something with Casa, you were sure of.
"I'm sorry Casita." You said taking a random guess of its name. The door's tiles flapped but it was calmer. "Uh.. Could you take me t-to Camilo, please? I think he has something that is mine." You asked the doors. Casitas tiles flapped again. "A book that my friend gave to me." You clarified.

The floor titles began to form a little hill behind you pushing you around the house. It reached out doors and shoved you outside causing you to fall on the ground. "Wha–"
"Hey!" You got up and walked towards the door, "That hurt you know. What did I ever do to you?" You asked the house and it mimicked a laugh with random items inside the house. You walked up to the doors and leaned on it. "I just want my book." You quietly whined to yourself.

You yell as the door opens again and you come crashing through landing face first on the door. "Okay..." You gave in, sighing, "Maybe I deserved that." You lifted up a finger and your head as you talked only to drop your head back on the floor.

You got up and dusted yourself off rubbing your forearms from when you fell, it stung. Your face twisted in pain. You look up at the Casita and glared at it to which it only opened up it's window wavering at you.

You groan turning around to leave your posture straightening out as your eyes bugged out.

You were faced with the Madrigal family staring at you with the same expression.
"Uh..." You continued to hold onto your forearm as you stared at the different eyes there were only finally landing on Camilo's eyes. He placed down his fork.

You blinked. "Hi?" You nervously said, you were totally making a great first impression, totally.

"A-Are you hurt?" Camilo said getting up from his chair, he walked up to you and grabbed the forearm you were holding. He examined it, it was scratched.

"What're you doing here?" Camilo asked you in a whispered tone where nobody would hear him.
"I thought I left my book here so I came to retrieve it. But then..." You motion your head towards casita, "That happened."

"Y/N." Camilo said looking down, he laughed.
"I only wanted my book back, I don't think I'm quite ready to meet your family. Especially not after what had just happened." You left a giggle escaping your lips.

Camilo turned around and asked his Tía for some of her cooking. She happily agreed with a smile on her face as she went inside to grab one of the goods she had already pre-made for the day.

Camilo turned around with an arepa con queso in his hands. You took a bite out of it and your forearm quickly felt better. You looked down at it to see it was already healed.
The family all watched the two of you interact. When they saw the look on Camilo's face when he made you laugh. Pepa quickly slaps her husband's arm over and over putting the other hand above her mouth as she smiles.

"That's Y/N?" Dolores repeated out loud. Both you and Camilo look over at Dolores.

"Oh no." Camilo mumbled.
He quickly turned to look at you as his family started to connect the dots of who you were. See, the thing is, they didn't know the entire story.

A thunderstorm started to appear above her head, noticeably getting upset.
You watched in confusion as you got glares.
You open your mouth to say some but quickly close it when a lightning bolt strikes an inch away from you.

Camilo panicked shapeshifting into you  as he picked you up and ran outside.
He placed you down once you were a while away from his house.

You pressed your lips together, biting the middle of your lips. "Gonna take a wild guess." You said looking at Camilo who had a worried expression looking to see if anyone followed, he exhaled and looked at you, "I think they liked me what do you think?" You said sarcastically with a smile.

Camilo doesn't say anything but just stares at you.

"Tell me" You walked up to him pulling him by the collar of his long sleeved shirt. "What exactly did you tell them about me?"

"Nothing!" Camilo said in defense, you glared at him, "I– just told them I got heartbroken." He looks to the side making a face saying that he wasn't wrong. You make a face narrowing one eye as you curl your lips up to the right. "And?" You asked, raising brow.
"And?" Camilo smiled as he tilted his head down and to the side like an animated character.

"So you didn't tell them how I oh-so broke your heart?" You asked, pushing him away. "Well..." He clapped his hands together, "No."

"So you're needed to tell me they basically hate me for no reason?" You confirmed. "Well, I-I wouldn't say no reason." He nervously pulled the left side of his lips up into a smile.
"Right, they hate me because of something you caused." You corrected yourself.
Camilo's lips pressed together.

Your eyebrow twitched in annoyance. "Can I at least have my book back please?" You asked Camilo, you lifted your hand up to Camilo as if he had your book in his hands.

"Right. I'll go get that." He pointed behind him and in the direction of his house.

Once Camilo left you slouched down, "Great first impression,
Y/N" You mumbled to yourself.
