A Brief surprise flashed through my features as Jade suddenly wiggled around when we were at the entrance of the clinic. She opened her eyes her big blue eyes staring at mine.

"Hey" she said in a chirpy tone. She began wiggling in my arms till I dropped her. She dusts of imaginary dust from her body and tugged at my hand.

"Your already late, let's skip."

Oh

Oddly enough, I didn't find it strange at her antics. I was already questioning whether she was faking it or not seeing her flawless acting.

I sighed.

"Where do you want to go? "Her eyes brightened up as she entwined our fingers together.

"Although it may sound girly I need to visit the mall. I'm um helping my brother move and he really sucks at interior designing" she said. I searched her eyes knowing deep within that she wasn't telling the complete truth.

"Sure"

A few minutes layer I found my self in a clothing and textile shop after she finished picking up all the furniture she needed. Know she was picking up some curtains.

"Is this one okay? " she asked holding a dark red curtain with golden cursive designs on it. I smiled and searched through the rack.

"This one will be okay. " I said picking out a light blue one with different patterns laced on it.

"It's like your in love with blue" she said, her eyebrows furrowed. I smiled.

She was right. Unconsciously blue had become my favourite colour. Pale icy blue, the same color of her eyes.

I shrugged.

"Sure maybe" I replied. She narrows her eyes at me and then shrugged.

"I'm done for today. I'll ask Tony to pick up the rest. " she said with a nonchalant shrugged.

I ignored my jealousy which came out as a result of the use of another person from the male species name from her luscious pink lips.

"Lets go" she said all of a sudden tugging me out of the shop. "I could really use an ice cream and a walk in the park" she said.

I found myself in the park paying for ice cream, a chocolate and vanilla for me. No doubt Jade was going to try to steal mine later. I paid the vendor, and turned around. Jade was no longer in the spot I left her on the bench.

"She's so small, someone better help her" I heard the vendor said. I turned to look at him and follows his gaze to Jade who was thrown to the floor by a man twice her size. My eyes widened in fear. I threw the good ice cream away as I tried to save the man from whatever things that Jade got planned from him and threw a punch at his face. She looked at me obviously surprised. I drew her up with a hand, wrapping both my hand around her waist, nuzzling her hair and inhaling her scent.

A faint thud was heard on the floor as Jade threw away her possible murder weapon before hugging me back. I felt.... contented.

It'd been almost two years since I'd driven a car. My parents obviously tried to convince me that there was no harm done in that contraception responsible for at least a death or two in a week but Jade's mood and the throwing of her car keys to me were all it took before I was driving her home.

Her cheeks were flushed red in anger as we drove. Immediately I'd let go, her anger seemed to begin to boil since I didn't let her hit the man.

And also wasted her ice cream.

"Jade? " I called out taking a glance at the perfection sitting at my side, staring intensely at her phone.

"Stop by at your place, I'll drive to the local gym, Tony got into trouble" she gritted out, her blue eyes blazing with anger. Once again I made a brief mental note not to get on her bad side so i could avoid potential death.
