May&Drew were now alone and since none uttered a word Drew decided to clear the awkwardness surrounding them both and had said. "Hey congrats on the win I wanted to tell you that personally and that I wanna battle you also." May understood and smiled and replied with "Okay you're on! BUT I'm gonna win okay?!" May & Drew got ready to head out to a local field & was about to have their battle when... A boy with black hair wearing a outfit similar to May's and he looked up before recognising who the girl was that he had just saw. With one shout May had heard him "Hey May-May it's you!" "Hey Brandon! Great to see you!"
The 2 had hugged and this made Drew have a weird feeling in his stomach. He didn't know why he was having this feeling& decided to let it go and just concentrate on the battle he was going to have with May. "Umm May I know you're happy with the reunion but aren't we gonna battle?" May stopped hugging her friend & Walked over to her side & Began to release 2 Pokemon. They were Beautifly&Delcatty. Drew had chosen his Roserade&Masquerain. Brandon had called over to May and said "Hey May I'll watch your battle so show them how a gym battle is!"
May showed him a fake smile what he was about to see is a contest battle & Not a gym battle.
"NOW Beautifly silver wind&Delcatty blizzard." Drew smirked & Said "Roserade use petal dance & Masquerain use silver wind." May responded quickly (A/N: Cba to write all of their battle but just to let you know It was a draw)
Brandon walked over to May with anger on his face& he dragged May by her wrist and shoved her on the ground. "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" "YOU ACTUALLY PICKED CONTESTS WHAT THE HELL MAY?" "Why won't you follow in your father's footsteps? Why... May!!" May was crying because her wrist was hurting her& She told him through her tears. "I wanted to do something different I don't want to be like you&or Dad or Ash or even Paul! Brandon contained himself he just spat out some words that hurt May badly. "Whatever stay away from me" he said with venom in his voice. That kind of pain could hurt for some time and May slowly watched as he walked away as fast as he could and left May to cry on the ground. Drew knew he had to do something so he went over to May and comforted her& made sure all her tears went away. May smiled& said "Hey I wanna tell you something but I can't say it" Drew looked at her and said "what is it you can't tell me?" May blinked And said "well... i l-like... you Drew."
