14:00.

...

I woke up at two in the evening with a light headache and Muichiro curled up in my arms.

...

Everything still remained dull and cloudy outside.

...

"Good morning..." Muichiro muttered as he stretched out.

"More like good afternoon..." I murmured back, rubbing my eyes.

I slept with my uniform on, because I physically couldn't bare the coolness anymore... It's like this village was placed inside a deep cave, where everything was dark, empty and cold. Even time seemed to run so much faster now... It darkened so rapidly and it feels like the hours are passing by with the speed of light.

"What are we going to do today..?~" I asked as I began to sit up, but he dragged me back into his arms, holding me tightly.

"Let's just stay in bed for longer..." He sleepily purred into my ears.

"Are you sure..? I was thinking we could maybe walk outside today, though it's utterly cold and I don't have any other clothes apart from the uniform that I'm wearing..."

"I can lend you my clothing, if you'd like."

"Awh that would be great, thank you Muichiro...~"

I quickly kissed his cheek and stood up, heading to a small window by the door. That forest with the cut down trees kept hypnotising me more and more. Why is it that I wanted to explore it so badly..? I wanted to find out where it led to. I'm assuming Muichiro walked there before, maybe I'll ask him instead of constantly wanting to go there by myself.

"Mui.. Do you know what's on the other side of that forest where the trees were removed..?"

"Uh... I don't think I remember..."

...

Right. I forgot about that part.

...

"Would you like to eat..? I have some onigiri I made yesterday before you arived." Muichiro called out as I kept staring at the empty forest.

"Oh, yeah sure."

I walked over to the kitchen and sat down at the spot where I was sitting yesterday. Muichiro placed a few rice balls on a plate in front of me and accompanied me. I grabbed an onigiri and took a bite out of it. Such a simple snack, but it tasted so much better than any other onigiri I ever ate...

"You cook so well, Muichiro...~"

"Oh... Thank you." He softly smiled as he replied.

...

"Mui... This question has been on my mind for a while now, but I'm just curious... What did you do while I was away for these five months..?"

...

" ... I would always come to the fence and sit there alone in my free time, trying my best not to forget about you. It really wounded me understanding that I won't see you again while I stared into nothing and sang that same song by myself... "

...

"How about you..? What were you doing..?"

...

"Studying academics and was out on missions. Along with other work I had to do." I replied, thinking over the time I've wasted on learning things I'll eventually forget and hunting demons.

I was never really interested in academics. Killing demons was something that I got into out of pure curiosity and luck. It was a pretty interesting experience at first, but now... slashing man-eating creature's heads is something that I totally dreamed of doing... But oh well, I have no choice now.
