PRESENT DAY FIFTEEN YEAR OLD CAMILA SAT AT THE LONG wooden dining table, holding one of the two baby twins in her arms. she fed lisa raspberries while valentina sat next to her, holding xavier and feeding him blueberries instead. the table was filled with chatter and abuela's almond crossiants. everybody was talking or joking with someone else at the table, filling up their early summer morning time. not only did just family sit there, one of camila's best friends, rosa, sat in between tony and pablo, ecstatically listening to their stories.

rosa was basically part of the family, sleeping in camila's room every night and crushing hard on tony. things has changed in the garcia house hold. like their dad dying months before the twins were born, which left mama in PPD. the family was okay now, going on with their lives.

"hey, 'mila, don't you have to get to the town for your chores?" manuel asked. checking the time on her watch, she realized manuel was right. it was time to help the people in the village.

ever since camila has gotten her gift with camilo, she and the madrigal are family were like, well, family. camila stayed over lots of nights, staying up late with luisa, and gossiping with dolores. but mostly spending time with camilo, doing almost anything. camilo and her were so close that people thought that they were twins or dating. though she didn't live in the casita 24/7, she did still have chores to help the village.

"you're right," camila nodded, standing up and sliding the baby into tony's arms, in which he smiled and gently rocked the baby, while rosa marveled. camila wore a suede skirt that was loose and flowed down to her ankles, a nice shade of green with embroidered hearts and flowers on it, and a white button up shirt that was tucked into the skirt and unbuttoned the top two.

quickly, camila grabbed a cinnamon bread roll and kissed all her family (and rosa) on the cheeks. valentina and lucia walked behind her as she opened the door, to be met with her best friend, camilo madrigal. "buenos días,
millie (good morning)." was the first 3 words that spilled out of his mouth. chuckling, camila smiled at camilo and fist bumped him. "buenos días." she responded, while both of her sisters waved to luisa and isabel as they walked by. isabel waved and winked at valentina, while luisa waved back at lucia and grinned big before walking away to put down the 3 big pots of plants she was carrying.

"ready to go?" camilo asked. "yep, so you think we could stop by delphinas shop today? I still need to get something for antonio." camila answered. "of course we can. whatever your heart desires, mi amor." camila rolled her eyes but couldn't stop the smile that came onto her face. she waved goodbye to her family through the doorway before it closed and the duo was off. on the way, camilo eyed the cinnamon bread camila had in her hands, and like reading his mind, she split the bread in half and gave the bigger half to him.

"ah, gracias, 'mila." camilo thanked her, kissing her cheek while his arm slung around camila's shoulders. since the two met, camilo has never called camila by her full name. it was always a nickname or her middle name, or a pet name.

throughout the day of chores, at noon, camila carried a child, posed as his mom. when the woman came back she endlessly thanked her and took her child before walking off. camila then transformed back into herself, quickly checking out her well manicured nails. "that was a good thing you did." turning around, she saw camilo walking up to her with a weaved bowl full of taquitos. "heh, well, kinda my job." camila shrugged, strolling up to him and taking a warm taquito from the bowl, about to take a bit when she stopped. "don't worry, it's chicken. I double checked with luis." camilo assured her.
