Chapter 15

A Peaceful Dinner

"Thank you for the food" We all said before we started eating.

"Jin-ssi, How's your studies?" Aunt Jane asked as she gave me rice in my plate. "Ah.. It's okay.. I guess." I said as I stared at the food in my plate.

"What do you mean 'I guess'?" She asked. "I nearly fail my classes because of tiredness" I said and smiled sadly before eating.

"What? Jin-ssi, Take care of yourself!" Aunt Jane said. I smiled at her and nods.

The dinner ended. We are all quiet. Her brother just locked himself in his room and will only go out for food, bath and school.

I am sitting in the living room trying not to be worried so I am watching the news. Then suddenly, I received a text message.

Kim Suho
Jin! How are you? Are you free today?

Kim Seokjin
Ah.. Yes, I am free. What do you need?

Kim Suho
Professor Franklin told me to tell you that you are near on losing your title as a Dean's Lister.

My eyes widened. What?

Kim Seokjin
Wait.. Seriously?!

Kim Suho
Yes. And Jisoo knew. She knew about it because Prof. Franklin called when I was visiting Jisoo.

Kim Seokjin
What did she say?

Kim Suho
She's mad at you. She told me to tell you that you should study more than worrying.

Can I even do that? No I can't. But for her sake..

Kim Seokjin
I'll study more harder. Tell her I am sorry.

I don't have a choice but to study harder.

I sighed. Aunt Jane seems to notice so she approached me.

"Everything fine Jin?" She asked while looking at me with concerned eyes.

"Ne, Aunt Jane." I lied. She just nods and walks away. But while she's walking away, She said something I know that I cannot forget.

"Love can be a Priority, But studies are more important because it holds your future knowledge."

I'm too stunned to speak.

Maybe she's right. Maybe.. Maybe I should focus in study more but I won't forget Jisoo's condition.

It's been 19 days. Actually, Our Graduation is on 2 days. It's also Jisoo's last day. Yes.. Last day.

The class just ended and I am walking home when I saw my friends talking but I can't hear about it.

I just ignored it and walked away, And then I heard Irene called me.

"Seokjin-ah!"

I look back to see her running towards me. "Yes?" I asked.

"Jisoo told me to tell you to come to the hospital tonight" Irene said. My face softened. "Thank you!" I said and ran away.

I knocked until I hear a voice. "Come in." She said. I opened the door and saw her sitting on the bed.

"You.. want to see me?" I asked nervously. "Yes, Please have a seat." She said. I did what she said.

"What do you want?" I asked but in a calm way.

"Can you meet me at the hospital's rooftop tomorrow evening?" She asked. She's facing the windows and I am facing her back.

"O-Of course you can.." I said. "And also, I want you to bring a camera and don't change your graduation clothes. Just go to the rooftop after the graduation." She said.

"Okay.. Is that all?" I asked.

"I.. Uh.. Yes, That's all." She said. Like she's hesitating to say something to me.

"O-Okay then." I said. "Go home now. Go home safely." She said. I looked down.

"Jisoo.. I.."

"You what?"

"I.. I love you Jisoo."
