Forgotten Gift

*Time skip to when Mirabel and Camilo are both 5*

          Mirabel woke up on a nice summer day, excited about the bright sunny day ahead of her. She got up from the nursery bed and put on her white dress as the casita helped her by putting her butterfly covered sandals on her small feet. Though Mirabel was a bit nervous when her mama came to get her for breakfast. Julieta knocked on her youngest door, when Mirabel said a bit happy ", come in!"

         Julieta opened the door to see her lovely daughter dressed in her white dress. "It's time for breakfast," Julieta said but noticed that Mirabel looked nervous. "Cariño are you ok? You look nervous," Julieta asked her baby girl, a little worried. Mirabel looked to her mother for an answer and softly asked her la madre ", what if I don't get a gift mamá?"

           "Oh, Mirabel, there is nothing to worry about. You will get a gift just as unique as you are my caro," Mirabel heard her Abuela from the hallway outside of Mirabel's room. But her mom slightly glares at Abuela but Abuela doesn't notice, but Julieta then says ", Gift or no gift you will always be my bebita. Ok?" Mirabel smiled at her mom and tried to say with confidence ", Ok."

*later on that day*

            Dolores and Camilo stood next to them smiling at their favourite cousin, and with their Tia Julieta and Tio Agustin. Julieta helped keep Mirabel's dress straight and gave her a big hug. Dolores then says ", and Abuela says that it is time. Good luck cuz." Before Camilo left he hugged his favourite cousin and wished her good luck before leaving with his sister and his tia and tio. The others went upstairs before the curtain opened up to reveal Mirabel as she started to walk to where her door was waiting.

            Mirabel had made it to her Abuela and mom and dad. Abuela continued to do the candle speech she does at each and every ceremony but neither of them couldn't predict what happened next. As Mirabel nervously grabbed the doorknob the door looked normal but then started to glow a bright almost blinding green before showing a picture of Mirabel standing on it with her name but no gift showed on the door but instead with white lines connected to Mirabel on the door.

              The villagers and the rest of the familia stood in shock with their mouths agape at the door. Then Abuela nervously said," Umm well let's see the inside." She gave a nervous chuckle to herself. Mirabel continued to open the door but instead of being big like the rest of her family's, it was an exact copy of the nursery but was about 3 feet bigger than before. Then suddenly everyone heard the casita move and shake.

              Everyone looked over to where the nursery was supposed to be located. When everyone noticed it was gone and was replaced by a wall. Mirabel's door glowed again and was now said to be Mirabel's Nursery. Abuela comes to Mirabel and softly says ", Mirabel can your new room also be the nursery too?" Mirabel looked at her Abuela and nodded. This caused Abuela to give a soft smile at her granddaughter.

*time skip to 3 years later*

              Julieta knocked on her youngest daughter's door as she heard her daughter say happily ", come in!" Julieta walked in to see Mirabel was putting some clothes away. "Do you need something mama?" Mirabel asked her mom with a slightly tilted head while still putting some clothes away. "No sweetie but I need to tell you something important though," Julieta says to her.

              Mirabel put away the final bit of her clothes and sat on her bed and asked: ", What do you need to tell me, mama?" Julieta sighs before checking if anyone was around and then shuts her daughter's door and begins with ", I am not actually your mama Mirabel. I am actually your Tia." Mirabel was a little shocked at what she heard her mom say. "Am I Tia Pepa's daughter then?" Mirabel asked curiously to her mother figure.

               Julieta gave a soft smile while shaking her head no. Mirabel thought for a few minutes when she started to realise. "I am actually 'tio' Bruno's daughter. Am I?" Mirabel spoke quietly to Julieta with her eyes shining a very dim green to her. All Julieta could do was a nod at her supposed niece. "Biologically you may be my aunt. But you will always be my mama to me," Mirabel says while hugging her in which Julieta returns.
