~Chapter 7~

I toss the gun on the ground grabbing Rin's hand making my way back upstairs. He intertwined our hands as his lips suddenly made contact with my forehead.

"You did great" he said grinning proudly at me.

I gave him a thumbs up. But I had a bad feeling tugging at my senses. I closed my eyes trying to remember what the member said about the intruders....they had caught four people, but I only saw three which means...

I quickly ran back down the basement stairs with Rin following behind me sounding confused. I turn to look at him trying to explain why.

But before I could say anything, a gunshot was heard as the bullet pierce Rin's stomach. Time slows down as both of our eyes widen in shock, Rin's body fell right into my arms.

"Rindo?..." I stare at his figure, the adrenaline rush began to fueled my body.

"YOU!" My body fills with bloodlust as I turn my head to look at the hidden intruder walked out from one of the pillars

Before he could pull the trigger, I charged right at him slashing his throat with the metal blade I took from Rindo's hand. Warm blood spurt out spraying my face and neck as he clutch onto his slithered throat with both hands, the weapon fall out of his grasp as I grabbed it from the ground.

He fell onto his knees as I stared down at him with malice burning in my eyes. I shot him countless times until the bullets no longer came out of the gun.

Ran rushed into the basement in time as his eyes widen when he saw me in a bloody mess with his brother in my arms, unconscious.

"Call the private ambulance god damnit" I shout at Ran impatiently, he quickly pulled out his phone dialing.

Still pressing down on his wound with the cloth I tear from my outfit to prevent more blood lost.

A bunch of paramedics came, taking Rindo away from me as I just sat there hopelessly on the ground with the pool of blood beneath me.

~Rindo's P.O.V~

I had enjoyed our time torturing those intruders together, feeling proud of her. But I stopped on my tracks when I saw (Y/n)'s eyes darted nervously around the room before rushing back downstairs.

I asked her what's going on, confused as to why she suddenly panicked. She turn to look at me with a distressed look on her face.

But before she could explain, I felt a sharp pain shot through my lower abdomen. Our eyes widen as time slows down. I felt my body limping as I fall into her chest.

"Rindo?..." I heard her calling my name. But as I opened my mouth to answer, the pain in my stomach forced my mouth to keep shut. Her hand grabbed my shoulders putting me down on the ground before facing the person.

"YOU!" I heard her furious yell echoed filling the silence of the basement.

I got really worried something might happen to her. She took the blade in my hands and jumped at him with such speed that he didn't have time to react to it.

I couldn't make out what happened after that as I start to feel my consciousness slipped away.

The last thing I saw was (Y/n) covered in blood as she held me in her arms saying something with the lines of "Don't die on me..."  As she pressed down on the wound with her ripped clothing

I tried to lift up my hand to her cheek to comfort her but I had no strength left. After that everything became dark.

The other executives went in the basement to check up on me while Ran followed the paramedics checking on his brother.

"(Y/n)! What happened?" Kokonoi crouch down at my lever gripping my shoulders

I can see his eyes brimming with worry when he shook me back to reality. Although my expression remain neutral but the fury I held was clear in my eyes.

"She's still in shock Koko, don't push her" Kakucho's voice rang in the basement as he head towards me with Takeomi, Sanzu and Mochizuki. Mikey was nowhere to be found, typical.

Kakucho and Kokonoi helped me got on my feet, my bloody legs still trembling. I saw Sanzu bent down to look at the souless bodies I had just killed while Takeomi just stared around the room with fingers holding his chin trying to figure out what happened.

Kokonoi held me by my waist to support me, but I consciously leaned away from him.

"No, it's okay, I can manage" I put my hands up telling him I'm fine before he rush over to help.

I went up the basement stairs with the gang following behind leaving a faint trail of blood behind. Our heavy steps in the hallway made every member in the hideout fixed their attention to us as we walk pass by them.

Some look at me with pity, some had respect in their eyes and some had a neutral look as if seeing my figure covered in blood was a natural occurrence for them.

Sanzu walked faster until he was beside me. He drape his arm around my shoulder.

"Still brutal eh? I like it" He said with a hint of amusement in his tone of voice whilst grinning.

"Not now Sanzu" I sigh and push his arm away, walking faster towards the exit.

We all drive back to our mansion, an unsettling silence taking over the atmosphere in the car. No one made out a single word during the ride, the silence just filled with the sound of cars driving pass by.

After we made it back home. My feet were instantly heading towards the bathroom. My body finally relaxed feeling the warm water hit my skin. With each droplet cleaning my skin merging with the thick red liquid as I watched them fall down the drain.

After I got out of the shower and change into a decent clothing, I was immediately met with Kokonoi and Mikey just outside my door room. I let them in, ready to explain the situation that made Rindo injured.

I tried to explain not missing any details of the events, stuttering a bit while doing so.

"I see..." Mikey said while gesturing for Kokonoi to tell the others, leaving us alone in the room. There was an awkward silence as he sat down in my bed seemingly drowning in thoughts

"I'm sorry, I failed to protect Rindo" I was about to bow down to apologize but Mikey held my shoulder preventing me from doing so.

"But you're not hurt...are you?" His empty eyes filled with affection as he played with my fingers looking down, his thumb brushing the back of my palm.

"No...I'm fine" I said with a monotone voice.

"Then good" He ruffled my hair before heading out of the room.

I run my hand trough my hair as I sigh in frustration. I walked to turn of the lights hearing the clicking sound a I fell on the bed with my face hiding in the soft pillow.

I comfy myself in the warm blanket warpping it around my body like a cocoon. And soon, I finally slept.
