I walked to Peter's house and stood by the steps. I sighed. I had gotten Peter's little "I love you" note by the bridge a couple hours ago and I couldn't stop thinking about it— about him. I walk up the stairs and hesitate to knock. The darkness of the sky consuming me. Once I knocked foot steps came to the door and I see Aunt May.
She smiled once seeing me. "Y/n? Come in," she said and I gladly did. The warmth of the house covering me like a warm blanket.
I turned to her. "I came to see Peter," I said and she smiles. "He's upstairs. Just got home a couple minutes ago," she said and I nod. It's 12:00 and he was just making it home? I walk upstairs and look at his door not ready to open it but knew I couldn't leave without talking to him. I lightly knocked on the door. "Aunt May—" I cut off his excuses. "It's me," I said and after no responses I hear the door unlock. I slowly open the door to see him.
I could tell he had been crying. I closed the door behind me before speaking. "Peter—" he cuts me off. "What are you doing here?" He asks and backs away from me when I try to comfort him. "Peter just let m—" he cut me off again. "I can't— I just can't." His eyes starting to water. "What are you so afraid of?" I ask now stop in place.
"But what if it happens to you?" He asks quietly. "Peter—" he cut me off. "Y/n what if it happens to you and I can't stop it?" He asks and I could hear the tears in his voice. "Peter." I stepped closer in front of him and placed my hands on his face. We looked into each other's eyes.
"You love me—" he cut me off again, "Y/n—" he tried to push my hands away with tears in his eyes. "No, Peter. You love me, right? I love you too and I will die for you, Peter Parker," I said tears forming in my eyes. He shook his head, small tears streaming down his face. I wipe them off with my thumb. "I love you," I whisper and kissed him softly.
