Xiao's POV

"Xiao! Save us!"

"Xiao! Please, help!"

"Xiao."

A girl with long brown hair tied in pigtails walked towards me, her eyes shone with hurt.

"Are you going to leave me alone too?"

Her eyes turned white, her face became cold and expressionless. She grabbed my neck and choked me. 

I flailed around, struggling to get air into my lungs.

"Hu...Tao-"

I opened my eyes and gasped for air.

Another nightmare.

My head hurts so bad...Where am I?

I grabbed my head and tried to sit up, but I felt a sharp pain in my ribs and fell back down.

I groaned. 

I recalled Xing Qiu punching me.

I sighed. 

"Xiao!"

A familiar voice called out, Venti ran towards me.

"You're awake!" He smiled.

"How long have I been out for?" I rubbed my eyes.

"3 hours." He put up three fingers.

I widened my eyes.

I tried to get up but Venti pushed me back down.

"You haven't recovered yet! You shouldn't get up! The doctor just came and patched you up, he told me to make sure you don't move anywhere." Venti scolded.

"B-but Hu Tao-" I tried getting up again.

"Don't worry, others are looking for her already, you need to rest." Venti pushed me back down again.

'You don't understand!"

I pushed him away harshly. He fell to the floor, looking a little hurt.

"I...I need to go." I guiltily stood up and limped to the door.

"Xiao! You need to take care of yourself!" Venti quickly stood back up and yelled.

"I'm fine!" I responded.

Venti sighed and walked towards me.

"At least let me help you."

We've been searching for the rest of the day, but to no avail, again.

I curled up in my bed, burying my head in my arms.

Where exactly is Hu Tao?

What if...she's already...dead?

I shook myself off of those thoughts.

She can't be, it can't be.

I'll find her.

Although deep inside, I was not assured at all.

We've been searching for a whole week now, and I've been getting more and more anxious.

Anxiety was eating up a part of me every day. 

I can't keep up with this.

My injuries haven't fully healed. Instead, they were getting worse by each day.
