3rd POV

Xiao's lifeless body laid on the bloody floor.

His eyes were half-open. He tried sleeping but his wounds hurt badly.

The torture had continued for three days, he had lost quite an amount of blood.

The injury in his ribs had started to hurt once more, to the point where he couldn't even move.

His hands trembled badly whenever he tried to shift them.

He heard the creaking sound of the door opening, he slowly looked up.

A boy with long blonde hair stepped in, he looked around and scrunched his face up in disgust.

"Those two have gone overboard." He sighed and shook his head.

Xiao looked at him in fear.

What is he doing here? 

"I'll do this myself." The blonde murmured. 

Xiao tried to shift away but he felt a sharp pain through his body. He winced.

Aether turned his attention back to him. He gasped.

"What have they done to you?!" Aether rushed over and checked Xiao worriedly.

"I'm going to have to give those two a proper punishment afterwards." He snarled.

He picked up Xiao bridal style, ignoring his cries of pain and ragged breathing.

Xiao tried thrashing out of Aether's grip, but he was in too much pain so he just gave up.

"LUMINE!"

Aether burst through a door. A young girl that looked like Aether was sitting on a chair reading a book. She lifted her head when Aether came in.

Xiao widened his eyes. He recognized her.

It was Aether's younger sister.

"Yes, brother? Who's that- HOLY SHIT."

She quickly ran towards Xiao and checked on him.

"Wait, Xiao...?" She froze and stared at Aether.

He gave her a cold hard stare.

She quickly lowered her head and focused on Xiao.

"I...I'll take care of him."

"Please do, sister." Aether smiled warmly.

He placed Xiao down on the bed. He winced slightly.

"Be good while I leave, or you'll have to experience the same pain again." 

Aether stared at Xiao sternly.

His gaze pierced through Xiao's eyes, he shivered a little.

Behave.

The word repeated in Xiao's head, again and again, he kept staring at Aether like he was in a daze.

Aether smiled and left. 

Xiao stayed in the same place, his face emotionless.

"Iao- XIAO!"

He slowly turned his head around and faced Lumine. She was slightly taken aback.

"He rarely uses...forget it." She shook her head and started treating his wounds.

"Oh. My. God." She deadpanned at the sight before her.

Xiao's ribs were badly bruised. One look and she knew it was broken.

"This is gonna take a long time to heal." She sighed.

Lumine was done patching up Xiao. The blood was wiped clean off him and his hair was neat once more. His eyes were closed and he was sound asleep.

Lumine smiled sadly at him.

She shook her head and walked out of the room, leaving Xiao alone.
